Least favorites... No One Said It WOuld Be Easy and Mississippi. David - -----Original Message----- Okay Crew... I got a question to ask. Which Sheryl song could you listen to 24hrs. a day, everyday, for the rest of your life? Me? Well, it would probably be either "straight to the moon" or "freeman." Or at least today, those are my choices. Actually........this is a very hard decision........ Brooke "Don't I love you like the angels? I have heard some brands don't play on some players. Was particularly interested in how CDrs play on car CD players. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Aug 1999 10:47:27 -0500 (CDT) From: "Michael L. I was debating whether or not to go and deicded to just go. Here are some of my adventures, witha review of Sheryl's set later: I met Sarah from Real World 5: Miami. She's the long blond haired one with the dog. She was working the chickclick.com booth, so I assume she'll be with the tour all summer. We talked for a few minutes. it was really cool. About 30 minutes later, there was this girl Susan Tedeschi or somethin like that. I went over to see her perform on second stage and se was really cool. All of a sudden, who comes to stand about 3 feet in front of me, but Pete, the guitarist with Sheryl's band. I walked over to him since he wasn't with anyone and introduced myself and said I was a fan. He shook my hand and we talked for a few minutes. He said that a fall US tour is being decided now, and that they may do it and may not, but they have been talking about the acoustic college tour. I didn't want to talk about it too much, since it would prob be just Tim and Sheryl. So we just stood and watched that lady sing and Pete goes, "She Rocks." I just agreed and after a minute told him I was going back tomy my freinds. He shok my hand and said bye. That was it, but I thought it was pretty cool. Sheryl switched up the set list a bit. I was able to get a pavillin seat out front for abouthalf the face value because one kid had an extra. So I sat with my freinds on the lawn until Sheryl's set. The band took the stage and the drums started. Sheryl walked out and said hello to the crowd. They then started into a CHANGE. Here's the rest. CHANGE MISTAKE Anything But Down "This....is another song." WINDING ROAD "ash on drums, sheryl with no instrument." IT DON't HURT RUN, BABY, RUN (afterwords thanked the audience, saying that they hadn't played that song in a really long time" HAPPY "we're going to play a country song for you now." played intro same as storytellers, stopped for two counts and then started back with the rocked out version. naturally the crowd got all excited. She sang the first verse regular, then for the second, she sang the country version, almost identical to the storytellers, ending with rock version again. NOTE: she's finally back to saying Marylin's shampoo. Difficult Kind. (long intro to this one, talking about how this is song about being dumped, going back to the person and realizing that you don't realy like them anymore. she something about how"my boyfriend dumped. me HIs loss...ha ha." Strong Enough (sarah came out for second verse, which they sang twice, like versions of I SHALL BELIEVE from the first tour) NEIGHBORHOOD. (crowd was excited to hear the drums start. as soon as they realized that they didn't know this song, they started to stand kinda still. less people were dancing but everyone was standing.) Sheryl didn't come out for angel. Deborah Cox did and it was pretty good. Sheryl came out for the encore with the accordian. It was the best take of TDK that I ever heard. REally good. Everything about Sheryl's band was really impressive. THey all seemed to have it really together. Overall, it was worth the admission. I'm really tired and I'm going to go to bed now. BYE.
