Begore Sheryl they showed that awful Jamiroquai... Poor guy... It was a HUGE relief when they announced Sheryl. She looked great, sounded great and she did great songs. Perhaps my favorite song was EDIAWR because she didnīt play anything during it, just moved on stage. Iīve never seen her doing it. Am I Getting Through was cool too, and so was TGTN which is one of my favorite Sheryl tracks. Oh hell, I liked all the songs she did!!!!!! It was a good move to perform SCOM too. But why wonīt they release the single until October? Wouldnīt it be better to release it now or are they going to release TGTN... It was supposed to be released this summer right???? I was just thinking that has Sheryl ever performed Tomorrow Never Dies live? That song made me a fan and I believe it is her biggest hit in Europe... Iīm not sure... One more thing... Does anybody know how much The Globe Sessions has sold worldwide????????? Has it gone double-platinum in the US already??? Bye, MaZa ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 Jul 1999 02:16:35 EDT From: XMystery79@aol.com Subject: Woodstock rant (heh sorry) After hearing nothing but good things about Sheryl's set i came across this which pissed me off..God the woman is one of the only artists who actually would fit in at the original, and all they are saying is that she doesn't fit among crap like KORN and dmx..Well no shit, that's because those artists don't really belong there..I'm sorry but I'm so sick of this trend towards loud, disrespectful, and violent music, instead of stuff that makes you feel good about yourself..I mean Sheryl is so talented and many korn fans don't realize or respect just how hard Sheryl works...But they just need an excuse to smack eachother aroudn in a pit..Heh anyhow sorry for the rant but I just needed to get this off my chest.... No doubt to her dismay, Sheryl Crow followed Dick's dick and the male audience members wasted no time asking for a quick peek under her tight white tank top as well. Crow teased, which I suppose at this point could be considered even better, but pointed out that "You'd have to pay a lot more than you did to see my tits." Besides set opener "A Change Would Do You Good" and her cover of the Guns N' Roses smash "Sweet Child O' Mine," Crow's set was hit after hit built around her taunting of the crowd on the breast issue -- which turned out to be the most entertaining aspect of her performance. - -Can't believe that they actually think that.... While Crow is always good for eye candy, she is not the best at keeping 250,000 Korn fans at bay. Nothing against Crow or her music, but some of the vibe built by Live was lost on Crow's nostalgic, guitar-driven love songs that, while almost always memorable, are not all that interesting. - -First off as a woman, and second of all as a Sheryl fan..What the hell??? I know that Sheryl is attractive, but stuff like this should not be printed in a reputable magazine or whatever the hell this is...It's almost like hey she belongs there only for the horny guys in the pit, cause they can't stand listening to anything that's not screaming and screeching loud guitars...Shery's songs aren't interesting??? DAMN that's the first time i heard anyone say that..I brought my sister along to a show in May and she honestly had a lot of respect for Sheryl where as she kind of dismissed the cds and singles before..SO to say her perfomances have no impact is crazy.. But that's one negative A$$hole and I guess the world can't be full of Sheryl fans...Althought it would have been nice for her to get a tad more respect... ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V2 #260 *********************************
