Sheryl also said that she's so inspired by Beth's music) The Difficult Kind (Sheryl did a really funny intro, but it's kind of hard to transcribe so I guess you just had to be there!) Strong Enough (w/ special guest....STEVIE NICKS!!!! boy, the place sure did go wild!) There Goes The Neighborhood - -------------- Joined Sarah McLachlan halfway into "Angel" -- Sheryl harmonized on the chorus (also Lorenza and Matt, violin and cello players from SC's band, played) Sheryl shared the mic with Chrissie Hynde as everyone came on stage for the finale ("Put A Little Love...") - -------------- As you can see, it was an awesome show with Sheryl alone!! It really warmed my heart seeing everyone dance around and sing along to Sheryl's songs, especially IIMYH! And in case you're wondering, she wore a top similar to the Grammy performance one (showing off her abs) and some brown(?) leather pants. Oh yeah, and in between Luscious Jackson's and Mya's set, I could see Sheryl and her boyfriend Owen Wilson on the field (behind the stage) throwing around one of those nerf footballs. And let me tell you, Sheryl should stick to ping pong! It was soooo funny seeing her throwing and catching (well, trying at least) the ball!! I was so worried she was going to get hurt though...I swear that ball hit her in the face at least once, not to mention it kept bouncing off her fingers! So if you hear something about Sheryl having a broken nose or finger, you'll know why! But Sheryl and Owen definitely look happy together so I wish them all the best! Hey, I don't know if anyone's already seen it but I saw it on VH1's Insomniac Theater on Sunday morning (2AM), and it was the first video to play. She is like in a junk yard, and they frequently show her playing an accoustic guitar. IT pretty much just goes between clips of "Big Daddy" and her. Also I remember her in two different dresses, one being a long white dress and the other being a long black one. There was probably more details that I left out but it was 2 in the morning! Anyway, if any of you have MTV2 (M2) you can email them and request videos. I've done it before and they usually do it, and you can even request a set of videos by the same artist. (like 3 Sheryl videos in a row) Go to this address and you can email them from there. http://www.mtv.com/sendme.cgi?http://www.mtv.com/mtv/tubescan/m2/ - -michaeld- _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. The only thing I could think of to add, was that Sheryl played a solid hour (8:10 to 9:10) and that the whole affair ended at 10:25. Train In Vain/Stand By Me was a fun surprise indeed. I was hoping she was going to play Sweet Child O' Mine, but the Stevie Nicks duet on Strong Enough, more than made up for it. I was all prepared to tape the show, but there was no less than two Events Staff people AND two uniformed security guards not ten feet from me ALL day and night. If anyone as much as lit a cigarette, security would rush over and tell them to put it out. They easily would have spotted a tape recorder in my hand. On the bright side, I was free to shout, clap, shake my ass (Sheryl made me do it) and thoroughly enjoy a great show. *If anyone *was* fortunate enough to record this show, PLEASE contact me. Clearing out the notebook: I'm not a big Sarah fan and had never seen her perform live, but I was very impressed. Her band sounded great and her voice was spectacular. That girl is good. The Pretenders were awesome. They had the WHOLE place rockin'. They have so many hit songs that we've all heard on the radio a million times. Quite impressive. They could have played longer and the crowd wouldn't have minded one bit. The only Sheryl merchandise available that I saw, was the navy blue MFM T-shirt, the red baby T- shirt and the fisherman's hat. All in all a great day. Great venue, great weather and great music. What more could ya ask for? Chris Sheryl ROCKED!!! ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V2 #248 *********************************
