I bought that cd at a second hand market because it had a hand written sticker on it saying "Eric Clapton & Sheryl Crow". Till this day I haven't been sure if these two were really featured on it, as the music hasn't got anything to do with what they usually do. It's basically dance or trance (I'm not too familiar with this kind of music, so if there's a better name for it, don't drop a bomb on me). Crow has always been engaging, but in her early years the appeal was often coquettish. Here it was all blood, bones, muscle, and soul. She clearly was the festival highlight. Starting with a chugging "A Change Will Do You Good," she continued with a series of body blows that included "My Favorite Mistake," "Everyday is a Winding Road," and the anthemic white-trash classic "If It Makes You Happy," a song that didn't request a sing-along so much as rip it from the audience's collective throat. I've been a Sheryl fan ever since I first heard All I Wanna Do, and she keeps getting better and better. I live in Omaha, NE, just moved from Virginia Beach, VA. I'm really getting psyched up for Lilith Fair. I'm pissed I missed (hey that kinda rhymes) her solo tour this spring. She didn't come close enough to Omaha. I saw her in the 1997 Lilith Fair and again that fall for her own tour and she just kicked ass! I'm going to Lilith Fair in Toronto (both shows,) Kansas City, and Denver. I can hardly wait. My other favorite artists are Sarah McLachlan, Peter Gabriel, Indigo Girls, Shawn Colvin, Santana and Cowboy Junkies. Favorite Sheryl songs are The Difficult Kind, Anything But Down, Everyday Is A Winding Road, Change, and If It Makes You Happy. Sheryl's one of the few artists where I like her singles the best. She has good taste in what to release. If this has been posted already, I'm sorry. Don't think it has. Here is the setlist from the Vancouver Lilith Fair. I got it from my Fumblers on the Sarah list: A Change My Favorite Mistake Anything But Down Everyday Is A Winding Road Am I Gettgin Through parts 1 and 2 If It Makes You Happy The Difficult Kind Sweet Child There Goes The Neighborhood I don't think I could pick out a better setlist! She performed MFM, Riverwide and Mississippi in the bar in which it was filmed (the blue room i think) and they showed 'Sweet Rosalyn' from her Live in London video - it was all coordinated to what she was saying. Basically it was just her (no voice over or interviewer question) but it wasnt anything amazingly new. I got there and asked them if they had the promo and they said yes so I bought TGS, got the single and am going to return the cd in a week or so. I checked my receipt and it says nothing about me getting a promo cd so I don't think it should be a problem.
