Have been reading all the emails. I have been a fan of Sheryl's for about two years now. Have all her CDs. The photo of Sheryl was kind of a shocker, that's all I'll say. Does anyone know or have any info on Sheryl's movie "The Minus Man" with Dwight Yoakam? Anyone know when it will be released? Last I heard it was supposed to be released on May 28th and then the other day I heard in Aug. now. Haven't heard anything about the movie yet on the tube, just was wondering. I do know that Sheryl only has a small part in the beginning of the movie and that Dwight Yoakam got the part for her supposedly. That's all I have heard, was curious if anyone else knows more. The song is officially being released to radio the week of May 31 (that's Monday). And it seems like there will be a video for it as well. I was watching VH1 and the VJ said that on Monday they would be showing new videos from blah blah blah "and SHERYL CROW." So I'm guessing it must be for SCOM. Can't wait! No, not really but... I had to pick up some stuff at god help us Bradlees the other day (pretty much the same as K-Mart as far as I can tell, a bit smaller maybe) and I visited their exceedingly crummy CD section and guess what? Not a single SHeryl CD in the store. Mind you, I usually wouldn't even bother looking, given there's not a chance in hell they'd carry the artists I'm usually looking for, but this... She's HUGE, right? Heavy rotation multiplatinum VH1 and all that. Bradlee's has not only all the requisite Garth Brooks, but also lots of CD's by artists I've never even heard of. So I thought "Hmm... is this a subsidiary of Wal-mart, or what gives here?" But no: they DO have it in cassette. And it was the same story two months earlier. Bizarre. Especially when you consider they'd shown "Globe Sessions" in their advertising circular. While I'm on this discount store thing, Wal-mart's refusal to sell "Sheryl Crow" is not "censorship" by any definition. It's a private company and they can choose to sell or not sell whatever they damn well please if it's legal. If they decide one day not to sell guns (not bloody likely!), not because the profit margin dipped but because people get killed, I'll bet you wouldn't protest that.
