Anyone does that nowadays... lol Who cares really, right ? As long as she's happy, and of course, as long as she keep putting out all the great music we all love. David - ----Original Message Follows---- I have to admit, I don't think she looks good in the one with the nipples showing. She does look very old in my opinion and I think the shorter hair makes her look older as it says in one of the replies. She doesn't look good in the ABD video either, UK version. But the one further down of her in the trousers and top is very good. She looks very attractive. It's her choice what she wants to do and if she wants to pose for maxim, so be it. I'm not really complaining, I love her anyway. She has already gained all the respect, really, as for the pic, maybe it wasn't a 'great' move, but it is indeed the (late) 90's and that doesn't shock me at all, if some of you surf a bit harder next time you'll find a pic of Sheryl totally naked on the web, from the TNMC era I believe. She did it back then, maybe not expecting it to be published, but it's out there... ...so in others words it's not new, see what I mean ? This one is just getting more exposure. David PS - I'm really going at it with the posts tonight, lol, maybe it's because I'm going to see her twice again.... 4 times in 3 months, wooohooo! - ----Original Message Follows---- So what you are saying that in the 90's it's perfect for a woman to show her body, even though it is totally unrelated to what she does in her career? Women have been fighting for years for the respect of their male counterparts, for an opportunity to be treated as equals, this is indeed the 90's, what kind of pictures should we be seeing in magazines? Fully clothed women who are successful in their careers (such as live Sheryl concert photos) not successful in having a body that men think is good enough for them to get their thrills off of. Why does this woman feel that she needed to do this, especially since she has many a time commented on how she hates being a woman in this industry because of how people judge her by her looks, so she goes and does a photo shoot for a trashy men's magazine that is all about who can have the deepest cleavage on the cover? She is WAY better than this, and I personally think it was a mistake. Christina P.S If it sounds like I am a flaming feminist I am not, I just feel that that comment by Diego saying that this is the 90's was rediculous ( I'm not saying this in a harsh way, I just needed to set that boy straight), and that by doing this spread, Sheryl is being so hippocritical. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 May 1999 22:10:54 EDT From: ImSlug@aol.com Subject: Re: Sheryl on Felicity! I was so excited to hear Sweet Rosalyn!! Felicity is by far my favorite show - - in fact, so many people have commented on my looking like her (even random strangers). Therefore, I definitely watch it! It was so good cuz they played "sometimes you've got to be loved" at a perfect scene. But then they didn't give Sheryl credit at the end when the WB puts: music from tonight's performance, blah, blah, blah. They always leave people out. Oh well! I'm not sure how this list works, but I'm hoping that I'll fit right in to this list. I've been a fan of Sheryl since the "TNMC days." I own all three albums, and am totally in love with "TGS." I want to go to the Lilith Fair this summer to see Sheryl, but plans are still in the making. I don't know what else to say, except that I love Sheryl, and I hope that this list loves her as much as I do. I've been on several other Sheryl lists, and they're not very active. I hope that this one is active, but not too active. I don't like a crazy amount of e-mail, especially since I have several e-mail addresses to check on a daily basis. Anyway... So you can see part of her chest..I hate the pictures i wish i'd never seen them but I still Love Sheryl everybit as much as i did before..I can't say if i were famous that I would never do a photo shoot like that..To me this proves that Sheryl looks better when she looks more natural and down to earth..So just Let it go and enjoy the music..BTW someone mentioned Sheryl did a nude shot earlier..I serioiusly doubt that was actually her body..I ran across the pictures in one of those massive galleries and let's just say the body was more well perportioned than Sheryl is... I mean you have to look pretty hard to see anything, it's not like she's posing in the nude. So she's being a little provocative. All this proves is that she's got guts, how many other 37 year olds with surgery-free breasts would be willing to do this? She's not selling anything, just revealing a little more of herself than she usually does. And even if she was nude if that's what she wanted to do why not? Liz Phair had nude pictures taken and then showed the pictures up on a movie screen in front of a sold-out concert crowd. It's not something I would personally do, but I certainly don't think any differently about her now that I've seen her body. If you're comfortable with it, you should celebrate your body and for some people that means showing it off a little bit. So basically what I'm trying to say is Sheryl posing in a see-through shirt in a magazine that people have to seek out in order to buy isn't really a big deal. If you don't approve, don't look!
