I didn't realize that deep in their sender adress it had come through the list. I thought it was something sent just to me, and what I do with spam is send it back (several times, just to be annoying). So, ever so so sorry, thought it was spam to me, not from the list, as my mail program said it was from some aol address. By the time I noticed, I had already sent them back. In the future, as I continue my one man campaign against spam, I'll try to make sure it really is a one man campign, and I'm not accidentally abusing fellow victims. The number is too high to even count. Jealousy is one thing (although I see nothing to be jealous of. Anyone can do what I did; it just requires calling the right people). I am not selling all the things I got. If you read my earlier post, I had four things autographed. I saved the ones that are most dear to me, the poster and the promo picture that has a short note on it, because they mean the most to me. Every item means a lot, but you know what? The most valuable thing to me was speaking to her. As a fellow Kennettite, I was able to relate to her better, perhaps than some of my colleagues. This I could not have set up, because that is just a result of where I was born. You're right. I do want to make someone happy. There are many, many fans out there who may not ever be able to meet Sheryl or get so much as an autograph. So, what is so wrong about selling an item just like the hundreds of Sheryl items that you see on a service such as eBay? Don't give a shit about Sheryl? You're wrong...dead wrong. I consider her to be one of the greatest musicians ever. All I have to say is, don't ever, *ever* buy any Sheryl memorabilia off of eBay, lest you become as "uncaring" as I. - --Michael ****************************************************************************** "...And I hear them saying 'You'll never change things, And no matter what you do it's still the same thing.' No this is incredibly offensive. I just got back from meeting John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls, and I would never sell my autographs even tho I got two by mistake. And re:eBay, there is a difference between buying something like an autograph there, and a magazine or something else. I personally refuse to buy anything autographed, unless it's truly the product I want and not the autograph, but hey thats just me and my dumb little values. > Offensive? So, you might say that there were quite a few people that wanted it, even for over $27. BTW, anyone can get a copy of the newspaper that I sold. Just call the Dunklin Daily Democrat and request a copy of the Feb. 26/27, 1999 issue. About $1 will get you one. - --Michael On Wed, 28 Apr 1999 RLmom2JJ@aol.com wrote: > This is generous? Hmm.
