I dont think anyone shoudl have to sit at concerts, it just does not seem right. I think if I were performing and everyone was just sitting, clapping, I'd be a little bored, and think like, hey, are u guys interested or what, or woudl you rather get a VCD, DVD or VHS and sit at home, you'd probably be more comfortable there. To each his own, i know, but I just dont see how anyone can want to sit through a concert they're enjoying. Like Jen (?) mentioned, its not a play, its a goddamned rock concert. And people power rules - if everyone ignores the security and stands up, what are they gonna do? Kick everyone out?! When I was at Sheryl's concert, I had front row seats, but still got up to stand right in front of the stage when the lights went out. Of course the security guys kept screaming at us to get back to our seats, and one of them was right in front of me and practically screamed in my face. I smiled at him - what could he do? There was already someone standing on my seat :) So those going for concerts in the near future, make a pact, hopefully the people youre going with and those around you are like-minded. I'm not suggesting rowdiness or stuff thats gonna endanger life or limb, just good clean fun. Just MHO. harin PS - Mandy, I'm very short too, so I see where you're coming from. Thats why when I rush forward, I make it a point to either get right in front on the floor or get one of the seats in front so I can stand on it :) owner-sheryl-crew@smoe.org on 26/04/99 15:05:07 Please respond to sheryl-crew@smoe.org @ SMTP Nashville. Can anybody tell me who played in Sheryl's band on 6. 6. 1994 in London? I've got "Love is a good thing", "Reach around jerk", "On the outside", "Cold turkey" and "Volvo Cowgirl 99" from that concert on a tape (danke Josef), and I've never heard her rock that hard anywhere else. I would especially wanna know who played the drums. Was it still Wally or already Jim? Does anyone have more than these five songs from that gig, and if so, where did you get 'em? Brian Hiatt: NEW YORK -- Sheryl Crow, Luscious Jackson, the Indigo Girls and Shawn Colvin are among the artists set to join founder Sarah McLachlan for this year's Lilith Fair, according to sources. The artist lineup and dates for the third edition of the all-female package tour are slated to be officially announced in a press conference Tuesday at Manhattan's Irving Plaza. But folk-rock artists Indigo Girls and Colvin already have confirmed their participation via their official websites. According to a spokesperson for Crow who declined to be identified, the rock singer/songwriter -- who currently is touring solo -- will join Tuesday's press conference by phone. I had also seen her in Orlando at the beginning of this tour and she has really improved. It was amazing. I think she did almost every song better except maybe Mississippi, Riverwide, and It Don't Hurt. Mississippi she did differently. I'll e-mail anyone personally about that but don't want to ruin it. For me, Mississippi was the highlight of the show. But I didn't like it the other night. Other than those three, she got better as the show went on and I would dare she's gotten better as this tour has progressed. Wow, you guys with tix to the last few shows on this tour are in for a treat. BTW, Jen and I solved the standing up in front of people problem by moving down from the balcony to one of the boxes which we had to ourselves and we could boogie down. (Eventually other fans caught on and moved into it, but only 4 others and they were behind us boogying too.)
