Again, another good point. I was at one show at the Garden State Art Center (now PNC Bank Art Center) where no one was dancing at all.. and I felt very held back. I wanted to boogie more than anything. After the first song I just got up and didn't care who looked at me. That's how I feel about life though.. you can't just sit there and let it pass you by. See, the only reason I could come up with, was that there were a lot of "older" people at the show (forgive me, i was 15 at the time.. 25 was "older" to me then LOL) But now I know that that is no excuse, because we have tons of non-teenaged fans on this list, and I know they can party. I just wish everyone would lighten up.. Sheryl is rock. Not soft rock. Not light FM. Sheryl. Is. Rock. So dance damnit! And above all else, enjoy yourself because: No matter what you do, or how you do it, *someone* will always be angry with you, so don't even think about it! LOL Just *a hem* do it. :o) Making Phyllis dance her bootie off on 5/3/99 @ The Beacon, Michele - -- "You dream it, and then you do it..." ~ inspiration by Sheryl Crow http://welcome.to/SherylCrow~IShallBelieve www.netword.com : I Shall Believe "I have no lid upon my head, but if I did, you could look inside and see what's on my mind." - Dave Matthews "What's cool is, no one here acts like a star," Jewel says in her dressing room at the San Francisco stop of [the Lilith Fair]... I was only young (like 11/12) so i didnt hear any of her her other songs from tnmc or about tnmc at all! the next i heard was when she realeased A Change... I heard it and fell in love with it - it was summer and it was so fitting to how i felt - i didnt go and but it tho... it wasnt until my cousin visited me 2 months later and i played his CD that i HAD to go and buy it.... so i went ad searched for the single in the racks and found one (saying it had A Change, EDIAWR, LLV and CCA) bought it, took it home and realised it actually had AC, EDIAWR, IIMYH and IHTMAS - i was amazed, cos id heard all these songs abouit not realising who they were from - i played that cd zzillions of times and they made me buy 'sheryl crow'.. and thats how it started! sam xxx ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 Apr 1999 06:08:55 EDT From: MacTeabird@aol.com Subject: Re: First Sheryl song? >> What was your first Sheryl song that got you into her music? The first Sheryl song I heard was Run Baby Run. Because that was the first song in TNMC. I bought the album as soon as I could find in November '93 BEFORE I actually hear a song by her. I decided to buy it reading a review in a mag, saying that her voice resembles to Stevie Nicks...you know I LOVE Stevie Nikcs. At first listen I thought her voice is something of a mix of Stevie Nicks and Rickie Lee Jones(both my fave singers). But I did not like the album so much(especially the first two) until All I Wanna Do caught my ears, it may have been the video. I cannot believe so many people who got hooked with it now don't like the song though I know Sheryl hates it. I STILL like the song very much. After seeing her live in April '95, she's destined to be my favourite female artist of all-time. Here's my favourite songs(top two only): TNMC - AIWD, Strong Enough SC - Everyday is a Winding Road, Superstar TGS - Anything But Down, The Difficult Kind B-sides/non album tracks - Carolina, Keep on Growing Takuji ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 Apr 1999 12:17:46 EDT From: AngelLieb@aol.com Subject: Shake that booty! Not enough enthusiasm at Sheryl's concerts?! I think not! Orlando got out of hand I think when floor people climbed over the seats to get closer to the stage (including me) while some security guy was trying to get us back to our seats. When he saw he was outnumbered, he gave up! Oh well, if I go to a concert and want to dance, sing or whatever the hell I please, I should be able to! It's MY money! Now....for that Howard Stern show.... ewwwww! Not my way of waking up in the morning to watch the tape and see some "the walking butt" lady! What the hell?! Anyways, I really liked how Sheryl's hair looked. Too bad they couldn't show the whole interview!
