Jason Rhoden" Subject: Re: this is bad Both of you who's addresses are up there should write to geocities. They have a specific page to complain about people. I already wrote to them saying that it was ridiculous that that girl could violate your privacy and try to encourage people to send hateful messages to you. I also said that if this is the sort of stuff geocities condones, then I would be sure in future to avoid geocities when I surf around. Let 'em (geocities, that is) know you mean business, in a nice, but firm way, and they may close this #$%^'s page for good. (They should.) You also might want to complain to hotmail about people sending you hatemail and flames from a hotmail address. I don't know hotmail's terms of service, so they might just ignore you, but they likely would do *something*. The address to complain to geocities is: http://www.geocities.com/main/contact/alert_form.html Give 'em hell!! (Kind of ironic, since we just read a lot of stuff by Thoreau in English class...) Anyway, Sheryl is one of the women on it! She sings "Good Morning Heartache" - very well, as I'm sure you can imagine... Did anyone else get this? It's actually AT&T WorldNet software, but it's got almost 45 minutes of music on it, and it plays in a regular CD player. Sorry if this was already posted about and I missed it - I haven't read every single message lately. But this CD is really good - others on it include Paula Cole, Shawn Colvin, Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell... If you want it, you can probably e-mail AT&T and ask them for software or something. It was such a nice surprise last week to come home and find a free CD with Sheryl Crow on it in the mail... :-) - -Meredith >>>>> http://locket.net <<<<< Cup Riot On-line: "Cheers to the plastic cup!" LOL it doesn't matter anyways, I would never stoop down that low as to put my personal opinions on other musicians on my site, and I think that most of the people on this list who have one agree, that this girl was just being immature and can't keep her personal feelings to her self, I can't imagine her being a day over 16. I did do as Jason suggested and filled out a complaint form to geocites, it was wrong for her to put up the addresses of the 2 people without permission, and I hope that her little plan on revenge backfires on her..That being said, I think I've had enough Sheryl news/ gossip that I can handle for the day, and that's saying A LOT, lol... ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 Mar 1999 00:30:36 EST From: AMUSEMENOW@aol.com Subject: Sheryl Crow Discusses New Projects, New Tour Sheryl Crow Discusses New Projects, New Tour Part Two Of A Two-Part Interview Sheryl Crow made a bit of an effort at distancing herself from the music business between the release of her Grammy-winning The Globe Sessions album in September and her current tour opener in Las Vegas last week. She bought a house in Los Angeles, briefly considered furnishing it, and visited a psychic who told her she would get pregnant in February. What Crow discovered during her time off, however, was that domesticity wasn't really her bag. Before long, she was back to her usual workaholic habits. She played the Campaign for a Landmine- Free World benefit concert in Washington D.C. alongside Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, and Steve Earle (allstar, Sep. 24, 1998). She popped up at a Neil Finn show (allstar, Oct. 5, 1998). She contributed music to the Gram Parsons tribute album (allstar, Feb. 16), signed on to perform at the upcoming Johnny Cash tribute concert (allstar, Mar. 17), and even took on the producer role for Stevie Nicks' next disc. "In comparison, being on the road is like a vacation," Crow laughs. Most of her so-called time off, however, was dedicated to the organization of her current tour. Crow wanted a more elaborate show than ever to accompany her latest material. "It's definitely different than what we usually do, which is basically hang a couple curtains and play music," she explains of the new stage set. "This time, I really wanted to do something surprising and artful and different. We bought a bunch of film and great old stock footage on Super 8 and edited some tasteful film stuff together, which we've been projecting onstage. It's a nice marriage with the music, because the music is so cinematic." Crow says The Globe Sessions owes much of its rich tones to her collaboration with Emmylou Harris on "Juanita" for the forthcoming Parsons tribute. "The most interesting thing about that was that we recorded it while I was working on my album, and 'Juanita' became the only track I wanted to listen to," she explains. "It wasn't even from my album, and it became my favorite track. That was what inspired me to go back in and write 'The Difficult Kind,' because I felt there was just something so special and beautiful about it." Crow expects to be on and off the road this year, most likely well into the fall, at which time she will begin work on her fourth disc. "That's my plan," she says. "I haven't even thought about it yet. I think you can go in with great intentions of what you want to do with an album, but you have to follow where the process takes you. I never know exactly what is going to transpire." In the meantime, Crow will duet with Willie Nelson at TNT's An All-Star Tribute To Johnny Cash, although she is not certain what song they will perform. And regarding her plans for the Stevie Nicks album, she sighs, "I haven't even started it yet." - Aidin Vaziri For more information on: Sheryl Crow at: http://www.musicblvd.com/cgi-bin/tw/6022_42_16303 ______________________________________________ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 Mar 1999 00:34:34 -0600 From: Stephen Subject: Sheryl in Dallas Bronco Bowl, Dallas, TX March 26, 1999 1.
