Eagle Eye was better than I expected him to be. He knew everyone was there to see Sheryl and not him, so he only played about 40 minutes. But where were Can't Cry Anymore or Home??? (I would've gone down there but I wouldnt have been able to see her if I had). Loved the rocking endings on It Don't Hurt and Riverwide. Funny thing, on the way home I remember hearing the beginning of Members only on the cd player, then I must've drifted off. When I woke up again, I still had my eyes closed but as I got more and more awake, with my eyes still closed, I thought Sheryl's vice was getting more and more manly. I finally sat up and realized that it was Stipe, the cd had switched to R.E.M. Crew! I had soooo much fun and am trying to recover from it now! ();) Anyhoo, Sheryl was great as usual. She wore a black spaghetti strapped tank top with black jeans and a pair of boots that reminded me a lot of The Beatles' shoes. hehe I particularly didn't care much for Eagle Eye Cherry or anything, but they entertained me. The lead singer reminds me too much of my brother. Eek! Getting down to Sheryl's show, I did sneak in a camera and I think I have about 18 pictures or so. It will be a while before I get them developed. Please be patient! I was sitting in the fourth row to the far right of the stage, but seeing Sheryl from my seat was enough to make me happy! The crowd was wild and up on their feet dancing a long to a lot of songs and she even got us into singing Mississippi! I could go on and list the songs she sang, but that wouldn't be fair to those who are going to see her in the future but I will say that Members Only and Mississippi totally rock live! What was sooo interesting was Sheryl sang ABD like she did on the Trinity Church Sessions where she sang Is It Like This. Am I right on this? I must have been the only one who knew what she was singing, in my area that is. ();) Well, here is my list of highlights that happened at the show: 1) Climbing over the seats to get really close to the stage and I took pics while she was singing The Difficult Kind. (I hope they turn out!) 2) Having to face some idiot security guard and him shoving me around cuz I wasn't in the right spot. Well, I worked my way around him cuz there were too many people who there and he basically had a problem with one person cuz she was shoving him around. Oh well..... 3) Sheryl performing Home....my gosh! I was right in front of the piano and I swear she looked at me! 4) This is my most fave and will be quite long. I went to the concert with my mother and we got there around 6:15pm. We went to the downstairs entrance, figuring they would let us in there. Well, there was no one there and we just happened to past Peter (Sheryl's guitarist) talking on the pay phone outside. I kept telling her, "Mom! That guy plays guitar for Sheryl!' I couldn't believe it! It turned out that where we were was at the backstage door and we weren't supposed to be there, but there were no security people there at all! Soo...we hung out there cuz we didn't like to be with the crowds and it was very peaceful where we were. When Peter got off the phone, we made eye contact and said hello, I took it a little bit farther by asking him if he was a member of Sheryl's band. He was! I told him he had to be a member of Sheryl's band cuz he looked "awfully familiar" from the Grammy awards. I told him that the Grammys totally rocked and that I really liked it. He said, "Oh the Grammys was a lot of fun." I had a camera of course and asked if he wouldn't mind if I got a pic taken with him. Got a picture taken with him and I then asked him if he could deliver flowers I had for Sheryl for me. He took it with him! Anyhoo...I wished him a good show and to have fun. He said he hopes we'll like it. That was soooo amazing. Oh yeah...he held out his hand for a handshake and asked my name while he introduced himself! Peter is sooooo nice! Well Crew, I wrote a little note on the card the Sheryl Crew loves her, I hope she got the flowers ohk. I thought I was too lucky to have met Peter and have him give them to her instead of me attempting to throw them onto stage. It was one hell of an amazing night!
