Well, from my cockeyed perspective, you're high up on the ladder of evolution, considering that you've accepted Liz Phair as a musician and considerable talent. As for the comparison of Mariah Carey...there is none. This so-called 'diva' ain't worth a pitcher of warm spit IMO. Frankly, I'd not open an eyelid to get free backstage passes and top-notch tickets of hers. On the other hand, I'd damned near kill to get the aforementioned amenities for a Liz Phair concert. The matter of Eric Clapton is a sensitive one! After all, he's of seminal importance to the history of one musician which this list covers. ^_^ Going to Dylan v. Bolton, it's two sides of the same 'Aren't you dead yet?' coin. Couldn't care for either one of 'em; Dylan's sole saving grace (and not good enough at that) is his part in 'Mississippi'. Bolton's just like...oh I dunno... For closers, I'd say your point of view is pretty good! Both Liz Phair and Sheryl Crow rank up top on my very short list of acceptable musicians, with no equals or competitors in sight. Hang tough; parents aren't always right about everything.
