Jen, I noticed that too, how she repeated the first verse... :-( Oh well, the performance was still pretty cool, and the interview certainy was, even if short. Did anyone see a comercial during the break with Sheryl talking about the Grammy's ? I thought it was funny, she imitated Elvis Costello. I'm from Austria so please forgive me my bad english, but I want tell everyone on the list from the two Sheryl shows I've seen. The first one was in Munich (February 6th). The show wasn't a The Babylon, she plays at The Zenith. The show starts very latly, I think it was 10.15p.m. Sheryl beginns with my favorit track from the globe sessions "Maybe thats something". She looks great with the short hair and also she was in a very good mood. During five or six songs (from the new CD) Sheryl plays the bass. Behind the drums was a video screen and during some songs we can see a film or some pictures. The Lightshow wasn't the big hit, but very effective. The new band was great, but I missed the full guitarsound from the last Tour. The songs with the Violin and Cello sounds great and this was a very, very good idea. Highlights of the show was for me "It don't hurt" with the long rocking instrumental ending, "There goes the neighborhood", "Am I getting through" and the beautiful pianoversion from "Home", a perfect ending...... The performance from Sheryl was great, the problem was the audience. The Munich audience is the worst one in Germany. I've seen over 20 Shows in Munich but it's always the same. After the show I wait behind the stage and get my autograph from Sheryl, but after the long waiting I was more a snowman........ Songset Munich (this is the correct order): Maybe thats something My favorite mistake Leaving las vegas A change would do you good Anything but down It don't hurt Riverwide If it makes you happy Am I getting through (Part 1 and 2) Redemption day Sweet rosalyn Members only All I wanna do There goes the neighborhood First encores: Strong enough Mississippi Everyday is a winding road Second encore: Home - pianoversion The second show I've seen was Dortmund (February 12). For this show I drive over 800km with my car. Further I was sick (over 39° Celsius fever) but the show was it worth. Great performance and also a great audience. Before she starts with "Anything but down" she says: "I'm twenty-six (no mistake in writing!!), all over again...." She introduce "Members only" with the following words: "This is a songs about shakin asses in the politic........" The songset was the same as in Munich plus "The difficuld kind" which cames after "Redemption day". Highlights the same as in Munich. I have also a ticket for Tilburg, but on Saturday I'm down and have nearly 40° Celsius fever, no chance for driving. The only negative point for me was "All I wanna do". It was a foreignbody in the songset. Further between "Members only" and "There goes the neighborhood" on the wrong place. Maybe it's better when she played the songs as the first encore. I know "All I wanna do" ist her big hit, but I hope she cancelled sometimes this song, she had much better songs as this one..... I think this is my own opinion, so please respect it, thanks. Also when you look on the songset: - - no coverversion - - no new song - - no non LP or B-side songs Only songs from the three CD releases. The Tourbook is nice, some great new pictures, some from the "Anything but down" video and you can find also the songlyrics from the globe sessions CD release. At the end I can say: I've seen a very good show (Munich) and an excellent one (Dortmund). Now I hope all understand what I mean and thanks for reading.
