Artists are having to get creative with how they make and distribute their music. It's a whole new world out there. Fund the effort if you want, don't if you don't want. But I think it's a little silly to compare Bono and Mac as "one time rivals." It's like comparing Becks with the kid down the street he used to kick a ball around with when they were still in nappies. I'm not a huge U2 fan, by any means, but I can't hate on them for keeping their egos/partying in check enough to continue making music that (some) people want to hear.
