It may appear so, but much has been happening in the background and we thank you all very much for your patience and support. The Album The Coldest Winter for a Hundred Years is now complete. Recording finished on 10 September last year when PaulB recorded his final vocals, Richard Turvey added the final touches on piano and Candie Payne graced the studio to add some final elements on backing vocals. The album mix is now being fine tuned and mastered for B release early this year. Appearing on the album are Paul Simpson, Steve Beswick, Richard Turvey, Les Pattinson, Ricky Maymi, Mike Mooney, Will Sergeant, Ged Quinn and Candie Payne. Early mixes of three of the new album tracks can be heard on the Occultation site and an exclusive free download of one of the album tracks, the epic bThe Bluebell Woodb, is available from the highly recommended Caught by the River website www.caughtbytheriver.net. You will need to subscribe to the newsletter (which is free) in order to access the download. The download will only be available for a limited time so be quick to ensure that you donbt miss out. The Gigs The Wild Swans have been taken on to the books of The Agency Group under the wing of Ed Stringfellow. There are exciting plans for gigs in the UK and overseas for 2011 including some festival slots. More will be revealed soon. The Janice Long Session B The Wild Swans Janice Long session on 15th May last year was a huge success. It was a stripped down acoustic Wild Swans featuring Paul, Richard and Steve supplemented by the excellent Rob Hack on guitar. The band played three songs; Liquid Mercury; Bringing Home the Ashes and new song, My Town. In the week prior Janice played early mixes of Underwater another new song on the album. The session appeared as a bootleg in the Phillipines within 24 hoursb&. Forthcoming Interviews Paul has been interviewed by Liverpool arts magazine Object of Dreams. The interview will appear in their forthcoming edition.
