[it also had a sample of the vocal from 'a.e.i.o.u.' by freeze - ''lets get it right, it's much too good to be real'' - hence the 2 be real title]. I'll dig it out and mp3 it some time for you guys - It was never released officially in the original white label version for licensing reasons - the released copy has dreadful 're-creations' of the cutter intro played on some rinky dink synth! Stevie G. p.s. it rocked many a floor for me in those days. Don't know if there are anymore characters... This is one ODD set of choices. I can actually see Eeyore (the English spelling, though some computer-happy person might call him EOR (exclusive-or)) the donkey with a tacked-on tail, played by Nicolas Cage. But the rest? Hmmmmmmm..... Tiggy is Tigger in English; the kid is Christopher Robin; the mother kangaroo is Kanga, and the baby kangaroo is Roo. And Owl is the name of the Owl, and an important character role you didn't cast, Rabbit is the rabbit (or were you saving that role for yourself? Or one of the Bunnymen?). Owl and Rabbit are about the only two characters capable of lying, being mean, etc. Eeyore is morose, Tigger is on speed and rather stupid, Tigger also lisps a bit and spits on his "s's". Bruce Willis is WAAAAAAY too worldly-wise to play Pooh. Shannon Doherty as motherly????? eek! It's a rather mindbending thing to try to cast these characters! Though of course, the story and cartoon have something about them that I dislike: there is exactly ONE female character, and she's a mom. Why oh why do we have fairy tales and children's stories that prominently feature boys and men and not women??? The sort of fairy tale we *do* have that features a woman usually has her as a damsel-in-distress role, saved by a prince. Of course, the rabbit! I know every time I give someone my list of characters I keep forgetting one very important character, that rabbit always hops away from my memory! Now, if it was a bunny... I find it hard to cast Rabbit as he's a bit old, and grumpy, but still has to have vitality as it is a rabbit... what about Clint Eastwood? Okay, I admit, Danny DeVito is an odd choice... But I think Christopher Lloyd would be the perfect Tigger! And Bruce Willis just looks like Winnie to me... (And what's wrong with Shannon?) By the way, be happy with the role of women in fairytales... if women get more important roles you'll end up with things like Xena, wherein the main focus would be the outfit of the actress. But the witch does steal the show in Hansel and Gretel... > This is one ODD set of choices. The song he did with Gwen was all right (better than No Doubt, no doubt) and he's a freaky li'l guy; so yeah, I can't wait till August for that show (in L.A.). Oddly enough, HUH is one of my favorite records too. ;-) - -bp PS Hope this doesn't post twice, but I'd sent it over an hour ago. Did I mention the sys admin woman is evil personified? I was just testing things out. Anyway, lemme go thru what's been happening and add (or detract as the case may be) to the latest and greatest from 7-seas. Or on unsatisfactory carnal relations: "There WAS foreplay." "What, groping in the taxi?" Well I found it funny anyway. Is that marijuana? Shit, nothing in the fridge except a 1/4 of a bottle of Prague Absinthe, a saucer of kidney beans and tub of Flora Light. And reassuring to hear that Ian Broudie has apparently been cool about their new album been kept very organic and non-fluffy. "No overdubbing", whatever that means. Should be a great LP anyway.
