Thought the article was in the Cohen one but could not find it....? Echo at Echo last night was brilliant!! Venue was good as far as arenas go and for the first set it was great to be standing and dancing about!!(unlike RAH for which we were seated and it felt weird!!!). Some of the crowd were only there for the very obvious hits like The Cutter and Bring on the Dancing Horses. One of the high-lights for me was Will's guitar in Zimbo. Mac was in a very very good mood :-) (like his old self I'd say).... Raj we missed you again!!! but we did see John Simm, did you see him (in the loo probably ;-)....).... I think the OR set was better at RAH as the sound was superb for us (I guess it depends where you were sat) and being seated at RAH for OR set was good. I think the RAH had more of a sense of occasion and the grand venue suited it....but last night was great fun :-) Shaz - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barry Whiting" To: Sent: Wednesday, November 26, 2008 8:17 PM Subject: seven-seas Bits and Bobs (Bunnymen Drummers and Mojo) > > Michael Lee (drummer circa Evergreen era) has died aged 39 -- > http://www.uncut.co.uk/news/robert_plant/news/12516 -- no other details. > > Damon Reece & Jake Brockman are playing live again tonight under the name > of > Hookham Boys with Liz Frazier and others -- > http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2008/nov/26/liz-fraser-cocteau-twins > > There's a 7 page article in this month's Mojo surrounding the making of > "Ocean Rain".
