It was good to get Crocodiles (I love that) on Sat and Over the Wall was great and we got All My Colours one night too (haven't heard that for awhile) I can't remember things like the exact set list for each night - my brain is not anorakish enough lol......It was very interesting to me that two shows by the same band on the same weekend could be so different (not even talking about the set list) just the whole vibe, it was all a bit 'Angels (Sat) and Devils (Sun)'. Like Red said we got Bunnymen light on Sat and Bunnymen dark on Sun...! They may be accused of playing the same old stuff but when you get two shows so different like that you can never accuse them of being boring!! It was great to get a few different songs each night too (which I don't think they've done for a long time). Like I said though, we (me included) want them to mix it up a bit and then when they don't do Ocean Rain the look of disappointment on peoples faces makes you realise why it is difficult for them not to (although I still think variety is good as when you are disappointed you realise how great that song really is.....) and if you'd seen the look on the USA visitors faces (the ones I was with anyway) during and after those shows you would not question why they came and continue to come. They said that the whole experience is so much better over here and especially in the bands hometown and have said on the forum how much they enjoyed the shows. I suppose when you've been as many times as some of us some of the magic is bound to fade a bit but I think they got it just about right this time....Of course we all have our dream setlists that will never happen until we go to heaven but they have to try and please as many people as they can so...... But I had a fantastic weekend thanks to the Bunnymen :-) I liked the new ones but would need to hear them more to have a proper opinion.... But a prophet is never recognized in his home town, nicht wahr? I know what you mean about being spoiled, kind of like while I like Russ & Joe personally hearing them every Saturday night at Richbrau (here in Richmond, VA, USA) means that when they open with Putting On The Ritz I think "oh no, same old set list again". However if they were playing in swinging London Towne people there would find then "fresh". Sorry if this sounds like rambling, I hope you get my drift. A tentative UK release date for Echo's new cd?????? Please, please, please let me get "home" to Pittsburgh. Great weekend to all.
