I love Vibor Blue and his version of Lover, Lover is much better than the orginal IMHO and I love the Guthrie influence too :-) Really good to hear some positive stuff about Mac from fans these days. A lot of people have just been whinging and whinging and whinging about anything and everything and the only positive thoughts about him for awhile on Bmen.com have been from lusting fan girls which is a great shame coz he's so much better than just a 'pretty' face! I'm glad about the reissues (Mac solo's and Efix). My faves on the Candleland one are 9 through to 15. I agree it's a shame Birdy and Ribbons and Chains were missed off, I think they are better than the morphed versions on WAYG ..... Too many poeple err, "liking the view of their own typeface" ( you know what I mean ). Fanboy and fangirl points scoring all over the place, I can't even be arsed to go over and stir things up these days !! Mind you, the lack of official activity means people will post even more drivel. I know Pete's not kept 100% up to date and I swear some people there think it's his full time job. Big mistake Mac mentioning the Roundhouse (imo) as people latch onto it like shit to a blanket and then get stressed when nothing happens for a while. Let's face it, beyond these online places, the Bunnymen in the big scheme of things aren't such a big draw as some of the modern crap that's out there and so booking places like the Roundhouse can't be easy. Totally wrong in my opinion, but people seem more interested in Johnny Geldof Burrell or Baby (my life's a ) shambles at the moment. Sad. As for Mysterio, the opening riff to Damnation is still one of the best, and the whole album is my fav of his solo offerings. E-Fix? Best rock album of the 90's bar none. These re-issues are welcome here for sure. Oh well, best get back under my stone for a few months.
