Time passes and Jesus, now drunk, gets up to leave...he is swaying a little...as he approaches the door of the bar, he notices the Englishman, the Irishman and the Scouser and decides to say goodby.... The three friends look up as the holy man stands over them and says... ..."TTThankss foor leaving me alone...I've had some bad news and I needed a break...it was very decent of you all not to hassle me for autographs...." With this, Jesus touches the Englisman on the shoulder.....the Englishman gasps astounded.."WOW!!!...I broke my collarbone last year and have been in pain ever since, but now I am healed!!...thank you Jesus!!!" Jesus then proceeds to run a hand over the Irishmans face.."WOW!!...I can see again with both eyes!!...for the first time since I injured myself as a child!!..I am healed!!.....thank you Jesus!!" I've been on the list for three or four years now. I don't post much and mostly use the list to get quick and accurate band news. As a by- product, I have also been lucky enough to read some interesting opinions and improve by Bunnymen knowledge. I've also discovered some great new music (Stu - I owe you one for Sigur Ros). Unfortunately, over the past few weeks, the atmosphere round here has become so hateful that it's now unpleasant to page through the digest. I'm not going to go into details 'cos you've all seen it, and some of you have taken part. I know some people need to express their opinions on these matters and people will have disagreements, but I'm not sure that this is the place to do it. Ivan - I hope you take the following comment as the constructive criticism that it is intended to be. You are now an official spokesperson for the band and should modify your behaviour appropriately, personal opinions or not. It would be really helpful if you tried to calm things down rather than stir them up. Some of your recent posts have contributed to my negative feelings about the list and my forthcoming un-subbing. I'm not sure that Will would be happy knowing that your actions are resulting in a reduction in band-to-fan communication, not that I'm planning to bother him with the news. Well, I'll be un-subbing at the weekend, so if anyone wants to get any criticism in, do it quickly or e-mail me privately. I'm off to find a pleasant way to keep well informed. If anyone's got any tips, I'd be pleased to hear from you.
