I enjoy reading some of the funny off topic stuff, but, I understand what you are talking about. It gets to be annoying when a thread is soooo long. Most of the time it's just a few people making one line comments back and forth. I get to where I just mark as read all of my new messages from the list (sometimes), because it's getting un-fun (not a word). There is one thing I would like to say, I have been on other lists and they are usually a bunch of younger kids talking trash. At least this one offers something else. The band signed Friday with Cooking Vinyl, a UK indie, and will hopefully release under the "Porcupine" label. Mac & Will have been working on demos, and go into the studio tomorrow. They're recording in Liverpool, in a really cool warehousey- feeling space - the same space that "Avalanche" was recorded in. The stuff they're working on is raw-er, more guitars, no intended string arrangements. Their current keyboard guy, according to my source, can play TWO-HANDED!!! And, although classically-experienced, he's got a knack for odd noises.... All in all, a lot to look forward to, kiddies. Surely if you were allowed to broadcast to the world, there would have been some other press release somewhere.. Please don't take this the wrong way, but would they give you the world exclusive ?? Nuff respect if they did. Personally, I hope that it doesn't happen, and they go to a more standard retailing organisation. Cooking Vinyl is a bit of a nightmare as yes, they offer discounts to members, but it costs ten pounds to be a member, and you can only pay that by Visa or Mastercard, neither of which I own. So yet again, I'm gonna be let down by a site's inadequacies to accept the charge card of my choice... If it happens, then I'll be dissapointed for sure. Ochre would do a much better job IMHO.
