This last year John where have I been ummmm I've changed jobs (Now work for the homeless mate! Charity work great for the soul!), umm discovered that my other half is an alcoholic, gained another 2 cats...have seen Julian and been blessed by his hands! Had a pretty good year all told (except for the Steve drinking bit, but you get used to it after a while.. I leave him in a drunken stooper and go off and enjoy myself elsewhere - it may been mean but I'll become suffocated otherwise!!) I fell in love with Skyray (wasn't sure about the Groundhogs, Universal Pansies hmmm o.k. drummer was cool - did you see squabbsey I got talking to this usherette who was petrified of him!!) at the April thing - thought I saw you, but as I'd only seen you on a photo I wasn't 100% sure and would be guaranteed that you wouldn't have wanted me bounding up to you and saying hello as you wouldn't have known me!! An absolute cracking gig, one of the best shows I've ever seen. You've never seen anyone really play bass until you see Entwhislte play, absolutely incredible. Townsend was fantastic as were the rest of the band and young Zak was more worthy of filling Keith's spot. Boy if the play so well now, what were they like when they were younger??? The night was made even better with added pre/post gig drinks with Stu/Trina and friends, can't wait for the next one.
