Zimbo is one of my favorits too. There's a film named ZIMBO Asian Film Corporations Zimbo is a story of a man living in a jungle, who protects the animals from hunters. A criminal who smuggles animals, employs men to get animals from the jungle. The young man puts up a resistance and eventually succeeds in driving the culprits away. I did not have the privilege (or not) to watch this film. Look, I am from the state of Washington, one of the "Swing" states in this debacle, and I've gotta say that, for the most part, the members of the Green party here are dual card-holders. They claim membership in both the Green party, and another - mostly the Democratic party. Yes, Al Gore is more centerist than I, but what turned the table in my state, and caused many Green party members to reconsider their protest votes, is this: under George W. Bush, it is likely that women will lose their right to choose. As the make-up of Congress hasn't changed all that much, where a President stands on this issue is very very important. Another thing to look at, and a point I tried to make in my previous e-mail, is this: Al Gore has the lead in the popular vote, meaning the populus, the nation, wants him to be president. The archaic horse-and-buggy-era electoral college should be done away with. Yes, Gore won my state's votes...but the voices of the majority have gone unheard. - -Ivan BunnyFans - get your free web-based bunnEmail at http://bunnEmail.zzn.com ____________________________________________________________ Get your own Web-Based E-mail Service at http://www.zzn.com - ----- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe seven-seas or unsubscribe seven-seas-digest to get off the digest And remember, George W. I sympathize with the Green party and I wish it was a viable third party, but in this situation Nader should have taken one minute to realize the magnitude and then told his supporters to vote Gore. Like Ann said, it's the wrong election for a self-indulgent, irresponsible protest vote. At least half of Nader's people would have obeyed their leader's (clearly sensible) instruction. If Nader's contingent had saved the day for Gore, the Greens would have scored a huge coup and earned undying respect and vast influence. I'm sure the Democrats would cheerfully have given him the 7 million dollars after that kind of rescue. Instead a wave of anti-Green resentment is going to sweep the country, they don't get the 5% they need for campaign funding, and its a lose-lose for everyone. I'm involved with two environmental groups myself, but I'm pissed at Nader this morning. I'll be ignoring all future yap about the Greens by my fellow idealists. - ----- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe seven-seas or unsubscribe seven-seas-digest to get off the digest And remember, George W. Like I've said before Congress holds just as much power. Bush's appointments to the Supreme Court has to get by them first. If you're such a concerned citizen, why don't you ride their asses and tell them why it's important for them to vote no against any perceived Bible-thumping, anti-abortion, pollution lover to get into the Supreme Court. And if Bush is the Bad Guy, what makes your Gore so great? Just because he isn't Bush isn't good enough. What makes you think that most Americans are going to sit down and take that shit anyways? Why? Because political activism is a coat that most people put on every four years? I could personally care less who's funding the Green party. As long as they gain enough over time to provide a new choice, and a new way for America, it's fine with me.
