It is not the end, by any stretch. Spoke with Mac just last week and things are, as they say "go." Writing and recording at the moment. The labors of this year will be realized soon. Have heard bits and pieces of new material and it all sounds very promising. Book is going fine--virtually finished. Has most of the lyrics in it, and a very detailed history. Currently tipping the scales at over 500 pages, so I suspect it'll need some massive editing. And it still needs photos. If anyone has pix of the band--onstage, backstage, candid, you name it--please drop me a line. Expect publication late this year, early next. - --Chris A. - ----- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe seven-seas or unsubscribe seven-seas-digest to get off the digest And here we thought Mattel was happy just cutting Ken's nads off: http://anon.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.openpgp.net/censorship/index2.html ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 5 Nov 2000 23:24:40 -0500 From: "-=>Zap<=-" Subject: RE: seven-seas new to list not really... there is alot of history to cover... but basically, that version of the band was a one off, and the original singer restored. I think most people agree that the album is good, but think it should have had a different band name. - -----Original Message----- Behalf Of katrina kole oh no! (warning!) is that the most drastic changes are the electrafixion album (not bunnymen, but a side project 1994) and I also think that the latest full length (what are you going to do with your life?) sounds a bit more like Ian's (the singer) solo albums (he had 2... 1989 candleland, and 1992 mysterio) I'd also note that evergreen (1997) bridges the gap between the electrafixion one-off (burned) and the bunnymen comeback. having said all that... I think that the albums up to 1986 were pretty similar in sound... and the 1987 self titled was a bit more (or too!) polished for the classic bunnymen sound... but it's still them and is perhaps a hint to the sound that Ian was to attempt with his solo albums (minus bunnymen guitarist will sergeant) - -----Original Message----- Behalf Of katrina kole has there music changed much? - ----- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe seven-seas or unsubscribe seven-seas-digest to get off the digest And here we thought Mattel was happy just cutting Ken's nads off: http://anon.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.openpgp.net/censorship/index2.html ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 06 Nov 2000 00:06:43 -0500 From: redhead Subject: Re: seven-seas new to list At 06:38 PM 11/5/2000 -0800, you wrote: >...but Echo & the >Bunnymen was the first I couldn't wait to listen to >after 6 months. I just moved to SF from Boston to work at excite@home. Who's your boyfriend? Everyone on this list can attest to the fact that the Bunnymen rule and that you need to run, not walk, and buy their CDs. Redwood City is a bore. But SF seems rocking right now for live music. Perhaps I just arrived here during a particularly good time, but there's tons of shows to take in. Welcome to the left coast.
