Hopefully, you jotted down your confirmation #'s just in case. David PS - Please forward all pertinent Naked Jello pics to my inbox - I just really like looking at the jello. PPS - Charles, a man of your taste has got to discover the Chameleons. I love them all but my favorite disc is "What Does Anything Mean Basically?". They are the only other band I put on the same pedestal as the Bunnymen (with the Furs a very close 2nd to these two). I think you'll feel like you stumbled onto a musical holy grail. Okay...first question...are they the same band as Chameleons U.K. ??? I have an album stashed in my heaps of vinyl somewhere that I got a zillion years ago....Script of the Bridge...or something like that. It's wrapped in yellow cellophane...but that's all I remember of it. Second question..... Should I get it back out and give it a spin??? I don't recall thinking it was anything of importance when I bought it on someone's recommendation all those years ago. So it ended up collecting dust. Shall I brush it off? Me being an artistic type of person....I find that Naked Jello is a bit less interesting to look at than Jello with fruit in it. Although.....*Naked Jello* would make a cool name for a band!! Better than One Eye Open....dontcha think? Red P.S. My favorite jello (to eat) is Orange, with bananas (that come all the way from China) and Mandarin oranges in it!!! mmmmm....mmmmm - ----- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe seven-seas or unsubscribe seven-seas-digest to get off the digest And here we thought Mattel was happy just cutting Ken's nads off: http://anon.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.openpgp.net/censorship/index2.html ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Oct 2000 13:30:20 -1000 From: Dave Blewett Subject: seven-seas Cope Just finished "Head On", which covers the Liverpool scene and the Teardrop from 1976-82. At the end, Cope has a listing of what some of the people mentioned in the book were doing in 1999. Here is his entry for Mac: - -- Ian McCulloch had to reform Echo & the Bunnymen recently without all the original back members. During the lean early 90's, when the Bunnymen opted for a less 80's singer, McCulloch fronted a Doors/Love retro-styled group called Elektra-Fiction and refused to play any Bunnymen material whatsoever. - -- I enjoyed the book and Cope is a good writer, but this bit contains contains so many factual errors that I really wonder about what he says in the rest of the book. Is it just his seething hate for Mac, or has all the acid he dropped and dope he smoked really fouled up his neurons?
