Sorry, but I'm afraid that he's correct! I'm not sure where the prohibition exactly is in force, but in the state of Pennsylvania (and possibly the whole country?) you are not allowed to have open containers of alcohol outside. (unless you're on the property of a pub/bar/whatever) I am always amazed when I'm in the UK and I see people walking down the street drinking cans of beer. Over here you'd be arrested! And they sell beer at so many events in the UK where it'd never be allowed over here, too. (public fireworks displays, etc. for one example) Red ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ **************Bunnymen Online Presence******************** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://www.villiersterrace.com/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ http://homepage.ntlworld.com/stevedoughty/index.html ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 05 Dec 2006 09:49:10 -0500 From: Red Subject: RE: seven-seas o/t for the marecans This is starting to bug me.....I never got Zap's reply. In Pennsylvania you can't buy alcohol in the grocery stores, like you can in places like NY and Delaware, etc. (I'm not sure about Philly... I heard some laws were going to be changed but dunno if it's happened yet.) You can only buy it in a beer distributor or a 6 pack at a bar that has a carry out license, and you can only buy 'liquor' at a state operated store, period! It's a pain in the ass if you're having a party because you have to go to 2 separate places to buy all your beverage supplies.
