The vocals were fuzzy a bit to my ears but Ian was in very good voice. That nasty bastard up front nearly ruined the evening for me, cursing Mac and provoking him, but I thought that despite that, Mac recovered very quickly. He noticed that the man was banging repeatedly into my friend who is a guest from France and Ian told the man to move to the back, and the man kept giving Mac the finger which was very disrespectful. I thought the lighting was extremely disappointing. I traveled far to see them and I could barely see anybody on stage at all. That is my only complaint. I was so happy to meet Red finally, you and your daughter and her friend were so kind to me and to my guest Brigitte, Red. Thank you so much! xoxox Thanks also to all of the really nice and fine people that I met at the show. Everybody I met were just over the top nice people. Shout out to the Petrecca's for their kindness to me, being so generous and helpful during the show so that I could take pictures. Lovely folks all! I hope to see some of you in NY tomorrow! Will, Gordy and Ste were so nice, personable and just so sweet to us too. Boy Kill Boy was very good too, Chris the singer is a real gentleman. Thanks to everybody again for making my first EATB a really great experience! The opener, Boy Kill Boy, were fabulous. Sound and band, despite recurring keyboards issues, were spot on great. The sound for the Bunnymen was, in contrast, abysmal. Awful. Rubbish. Shit. Both Ian and Will were lost in the mix of static noise. The backup guitarist was LOUDER than WILL! At the previous two shows, the sound was indeed very loud, but was sharp, crisp, and pointed. I must say as well that Will and Ian delivered a workmanlike, disinterested performance in comparison to the previous two shows. Yes, Ian, I understand every word. Who is that annoying chap shouting that anyway? In all, it was a disappointment because Ian's voice sounded very very good. I wasn't feeling the Will power like the last two shows though. At first I thought it was just me, until I noticed that between songs people(!!!) were shouting "hey soundman". It is not up to me to determine the course of action from this point, I merely note that the sound SUCKED. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Jun 2006 19:20:14 -0400 From: "radiotony" Subject: RE: seven-seas Philadelphia Show 6/29/06 No Sideways 8, eh?
