The opener, Boy Kill Boy, were fabulous. Sound and band, despite recurring keyboards issues, were spot on great. The sound for the Bunnymen was, in contrast, abysmal. Awful. Rubbish. Shit. Both Ian and Will were lost in the mix of static noise. The backup guitarist was LOUDER than WILL! At the previous two shows, the sound was indeed very loud, but was sharp, crisp, and pointed. I must say as well that Will and Ian delivered a workmanlike, disinterested performance in comparison to the previous two shows. Yes, Ian, I understand every word. Who is that annoying chap shouting that anyway? In all, it was a disappointment because Ian's voice sounded very very good. I wasn't feeling the Will power like the last two shows though. At first I thought it was just me, until I noticed that between songs people(!!!) were shouting "hey soundman". It is not up to me to determine the course of action from this point, I merely note that the sound SUCKED. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Jun 2006 12:38:27 -0700 (PDT) From: Mike Subject: Re: seven-seas Philadelphia Show 6/29/06 There were sound issues for sure, especially with Mac's vocals. I thought it was because we down in front. To me, it varied throughout the show but mainly the vocals. Will sounded great to me and I could hear him even when he was lightly strumming his guitar during the extended parts. Where were you sitting/standing Brian? We were right in front of Will, to the left of where the idiot fan was that Mac almost kicked out himself (literally!!!!). Forgive me, but were you at the meet at the Blarney Stone? It was great meeting some new faces and hanging out afterwards too. Will seemed to be in a really great mood and I just wish we could have had more time to talk! The night flew by and it was closing time before we knew it! Thanks to all for a great night! Please send me some photos when you get a chance- mucho gracias! Mike From PA I have to change this nickname since Red's daughter Steph 1 was busting on it.
