I think it said it's for Windows Media Player, if that makes any difference. And a doff of the cap to Editors too for their "Orange Crush"... (This all relates to the Q cover CD - a CD of covers which, I guess, anyone overseas doesn't get) - -----Original Message----- From: Barry Whiting [mailto:barry@urquell.freeserve.co.uk] ...Richard Hawley has his take on "Some Candy Talking" on this month's Q cover CD. I've not heard it yet but I can confidently describe it as "sublime". ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 May 2006 22:57:57 +0100 (BST) From: Stu Bird Subject: seven-seas F.Y.I http://www.getloadedinthepark.com/eflyer_3vf.html ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 May 2006 23:31:26 -0700 (PDT) From: chris adams Subject: RE: seven-seas OT: Q...Hawley etc I've been listening to Richard Hawley (per Mac's suggestion, a few years back) and I think, honestly, he's one of the 20 greatest rock voices I've ever heard, easy. And his writing is sublime. Think of a more credible Chris Isaak, and then triple the lyricism. Uncontested Dude factor. Some Candy Talking is my fave JAMC song, too, and no, I won't be able to get it over here on Q (they pull all the CD's off the rags, some weird licensing trip). Anyone care to do me a solid? I'll make it worth it, one way 'r anuthuh. (Would also love a copy of "Ring of Fire" too.)
