It4s been quite a while since I last wrote anything to the list. I suppose that4s because nothing really Bunnymen-like happens this way down here in Brazil. I was at their concert here in Sco Paulo in the end of April and it was great! Will`s guitar skills never cease to surprise me. Awesome riffs, melodies and such. As always, I managed to record the whole concert with my minidisc. It came out really good! I already transfered it to my PC and now I just need to finish editing and arranging volume. I would like to share this with you folks just as I did with other Bunnymen gigs in Brazil and the Ian Acoustic set in Sco Paulo. If you are interested, please write to carlos.a.coelho@uol.com.br and send me your name and address. I will calculate the shipping costs of two CDs via airmail and will get back to you as soon as possible. If you did not get copies of the other concerts, please let me know and I will set you up. Take care, Carlos. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 May 2006 15:06:49 +0100 From: "Raj" Subject: RE: seven-seas icliverpool: Reds' Ring Of Fire If the Hammers do what they did to Trottenham, then Liverpool may well suffer 'Ring of Fire' BTW Don't understand why Phoenix did not get an oscar for role as Cash - outstanding - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Kristin Smith Sent: 06 May 2006 20:48 To: seven-seas; blinfool@wyomail.com Subject: seven-seas icliverpool: Reds' Ring Of Fire http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liverpoolfc/0100news/tm_objectid=1703 6505&method=full&siteid=50061&headline=reds--ring-of-fire-name_page.html Reds' Ring Of Fire May 5 2006 By Luke Traynor, Liverpool Echo THE song Ring Of Fire is to be unveiled as Liverpool FC's official FA Cup Final anthem. he famous Johnny Cash classic has been revamped for the Reds' trip to the Millennium stadium in Cardiff next weekend. Echo and the Bunnymen frontman Ian McCulloch sings vocals on the track by the newly-formed band the Boot Room All-Stars. The three-minute song has been given a reworking by producer Tim Speed from Liverpool's Elevator studios, and Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry has given it official backing. The song features the Kop singing the popular ditty during the Reds' last home game against Aston Villa. Ian Gordon, of song management company Oxygen Music, said: "It's a song that means so much to Liverpool fans and sounds great on the terraces. "Ian was keen to get involved as he's a fanatical Liverpool fan and has had a season ticket since he was a kid. It's eligible for the charts so with a bit of luck and support from the fans, we could have a No 1 on our hands." Howard Gray, from Liverpool outfit Apollo 440, has been enlisted to provide the backing track and guitar riffs. Ring Of Fire was adopted by the travelling Red army during last year's triumphant Champions League campaign. The tune is already a big hit with the Liverpool players and was played by Jamie Carragher on the team bus on a recent away trip. It is hoped the release will make the national download single chart a week on Sunday, the day after the Cup final. It will be available to download on the club's website (www.liverpoolfc.tv) next week. All proceeds will go towards the Marina Dalglish Appeal to help people with breast cancer. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 May 2006 22:14:24 +0100 From: "Shaz" Subject: Re: seven-seas icliverpool: Reds' Ring Of Fire lol - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Raj" To: Sent: Monday, May 08, 2006 3:06 PM Subject: RE: seven-seas icliverpool: Reds' Ring Of Fire > If the Hammers do what they did to Trottenham, then Liverpool may well > suffer 'Ring of Fire' > > BTW Don't understand why Phoenix did not get an oscar for role as Cash - > outstanding > > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On > Behalf > Of Kristin Smith > Sent: 06 May 2006 20:48 > To: seven-seas; blinfool@wyomail.com > Subject: seven-seas icliverpool: Reds' Ring Of Fire > > http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liverpoolfc/0100news/tm_objectid=1703 > > 6505&method=full&siteid=50061&headline=reds--ring-of-fire-name_page.html > > Reds' Ring Of Fire May 5 2006 > By Luke Traynor, Liverpool Echo > THE song Ring Of Fire is to be unveiled as Liverpool FC's official FA Cup > Final anthem. > he famous Johnny Cash classic has been revamped for the Reds' trip to the > Millennium stadium in Cardiff next weekend. > Echo and the Bunnymen frontman Ian McCulloch sings vocals on the track by > the newly-formed band the Boot Room All-Stars. > The three-minute song has been given a reworking by producer Tim Speed > from > Liverpool's Elevator studios, and Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry has > given it official backing. > The song features the Kop singing the popular ditty during the Reds' last > home game against Aston Villa. > Ian Gordon, of song management company Oxygen Music, said: "It's a song > that > > means so much to Liverpool fans and sounds great on the terraces. > "Ian was keen to get involved as he's a fanatical Liverpool fan and has > had > a season ticket since he was a kid.
