They're very good live too. Huey seems to win over the chicks straight away and even the fellas can't help be taken in by his charm by the end of the gig. Haven't got the later stuff, been told it's not as strong. Was toying with the idea of going to the show but still undecided. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Red Sent: 26 February 2006 13:23 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas Fun Lovin' Crims At 02:04 PM 2/25/06, you wrote: >Anyone going to Sheps Bush next friday? eeewww! I'm not really a fan but Holly wanted to go and I've dragged her to so many gigs in the past, thought it only fair! Saw them a few years back at Bournemouth conf centre (worst place in the world for acoustics). Years of conditioning have got me to expect the 'hit's' for the encore whereas they just played 'em wherever. I'm sure they started with Fun Lovin' Criminal - Scooby pretty soon after. I think alot of people rate 'em on purely on Scooby Snacks, and fail to see the finer things they manage with fusions of rythmn/styles. I'm pretty sure most of the 'Come Find Yourself' album musta been used either in tv trailers, or ads. Hey if Huey can find himself to tell the drummer kid from Hanson to 'f*!k off' he's ok with me. Agree with Raj later albums not quite to the same standard but still some stand out tracks. Mrs KP particuarly fond of the lines 'Half spick peckerwood talkin' to the dead I'll break into your house and I'll smell your bed.' I dunno why she's just funny that way. > Anyone going to Sheps Bush next friday? ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Feb 2006 22:25:43 -0000 From: "Shaz" Subject: Re: seven-seas Fun Lovin' Crims seen them a couple of times - Scooby Snacks - great!! Loads of energy!! I love 'em when they go smoove n slow. I liked them before they did the WAYGDWYL tracks and I think they add their flavour well on those tracks. The tongue in cheek ganster thing was funny for awhile. Huey is a great guitarist and Fast is a talented musician (singing, keyboards, trumpet and foot work). I'd go and see them again locally. On Come Find Yourself track 7 is great (in the time honoured way of track 7 being the best track on an album) I Can't Get With That - what a great guitar solo! - ----- Original Message ----- From: "KPJ" To: Sent: Sunday, February 26, 2006 7:43 PM Subject: Re: seven-seas Fun Lovin' Crims > Junction for me und Mrs KP. > > Saw them a few years back at Bournemouth conf centre (worst place in the > world for acoustics).
