The only (slight) downside for me was that I'd seen The Badseeds as a whole before, so there was no way, they as a cutdown combo, could improve on the perfection of the full experience. Having said that - Stunning performances all round. I know allot of NC aficionados who didn't go, mainly due to the hefty price - protest rather than poverty mainly methinks, Putting that into context tho I saw recent ads listing TRextascy gigs @ #11, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac @ #18, Onenightofqueen #18, The Meat Loaf Story(wtf????) #18.50, Jethro friggin Tull #28, The Australian Pink Floyd Show (a staggeringly hefty #25, Original Former members Electric Light Orchestra Part 2 #30 friggin 2 pounds - That does not include any of Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne, Bev Bevan, Rick Price. So 35 squid for NC light seems a bargain. (That's not having a dig at anyone - I'm just despondent at the dross, and shit offered up as entertainment). Ipswich Regent - venue capacity approx 1500 and that's the calibre of our bookings. Check out website listings for said venue then you'll have a better understanding why there is such a high occurance of inter-breading in East Anglia.
