However, at the latest gigs I've been to (Portsmouth and Shepherds Bush) he sounded REALLY GOOD - in tune and powerful too (and I wasn't drinking). So things aren't so different these days and I'm really glad they are still making music and touring. A few reasons. Firstly, the venue may have crap accoustics (The Astoria and the Manchester Apollo), secondly, where the listener is. Try standing next to a large bass speaker where it feels like you are repeatedly being punched in the back by the noise. I have seen loads of bunnymen gigs and indeed many many other gigs. I allways try to get about 3/4 of the way back in the middle of the venue. When the bunnys played the Manchester Apollo on the Evergreen tour I was right at the front. I got squashed, there was a fight and there was beer flying everywhere. When I saw them at the Astoria (John Peel 60th birthday I recall) I was stood in front of Will, but the crowd was cool and it was all ok. It varies, but I allways try to go along for 'thr night' - by that I mean the pre-gig scran & drink, the gig, then the party/club afterwards. Just my thoughts..... - --------------------------------- Yahoo! Personals Single? There's someone we'd like you to meet. Lots of someones, actually. Yahoo!
