Was a stonking gig. Steve I think I was beginning to feel like you in that I was getting bored with the same old recipe and setlists at gigs (that right?) but that last gig has brought back my enthusiasm again. Scissors in the Sand rocked. That said I'm not one for recorded live gigs and probably won't get the DVD. When I first played Siberia, I thought same old recipe, good band sound and decent production but nothing that new. I liked Into the Margins straight off and Stormy Weather has been a grower which I really like now but Scissors in the Sand was refreshing. Will is capable of so much more than he seems to do. - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Steve Griffiths Sent: 07 November 2005 09:01 To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas sheps bush DVD filming?? surely the writer is mistaken? another live dvd? steve g. - --------------------------------- Yahoo! It was ok but the fly algaric distorted it a bit for me so I couldn't see the humour . For me, the funniest things I have ever seen are the Paul Hogan show from the early 80's, Eddie Murphy 'Raw', Sptiiting Image and Honour Blackman doing stand-up. I would donate a kidney if someone had the Hogan series on DVD. As for Teaching, I hope to start mt teacher training next year. It will be Maths so I will have a year under seige in an inner city comprehensive, then I will hopefully teach adults with learning difficulties. HA! Tired of spam? Yahoo! I am not sure if you can get it on DVD, but Afflecks Palace in Manchester is where you will find the Video. As for Poly Versus University, I have had an interesting time. When I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan, formerly the poly (The building opposite the old red brick Manchester Uni one), I got lots of feedback from Employment agencies along the lines of "You must understand, just because Manchester met is now a university, It does not mean it is Oxford or Cambridge". I could not get a job so I decided to change tack and instead of putting Manchester Metropolitan on my CV, I now put Saint Andrews. It work well as employers don't check it out or ask to look at the certificate. (I have needed to talk a bit of crap about golf at interviews though) Draw from that what you will. - --------------------------------- Yahoo!
