However, the last e-mailout suggested that the recent night would be the "last for some time". As for your politics.. The credibility of universities and degrees is at rock botom. Too many Unis that are really glorified Polys, and far too many degree subjects that mean virtually nothing in the workplace. Grants are actually loans. I could go on and on about this as it's a topic that I have strong feelings about (from personal experience, a parental level, and as an employer in previous jobs). This ain't the place for any in-depth discussion. The Echo and the Bunnymen singer allegedly attacked the woman and her boyfriend at an after-show party at Glasgow's Barrowland. The 34-year-old woman needed hospital treatment for a gash to her head. It is claimed Liverpudlian McCulloch, 46, became violent after the couple brushed past him on their way to the toilet. He is accused of kicking in a toilet door, which allegedly struck the woman on her head. He is also charged with shoving the woman's 38-year-old boyfriend and challenging him to a fight while shouting and swearing at him. The woman was treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary after the incident last Sunday night. One fan who was also at the post-gig party claimed: "The woman was bleeding and was in a dreadful state. She was crying hysterically. "Apparently, the couple were huge Bunnymen fans and were absolutely delighted when friends managed to get them backstage passes to join their heroes for a drink." A police spokesman said: "A 46-year-old man has been reported to the fiscal after police attended the Barrowland at 11.15pm on Sunday following reports alleging assault." Echo and the Bunnymen were one of the major post-punk bands of the 1980s and had hit singles including The Cutter and Killing Moon. They were one of the most popular acts at this year's T in the Park festival - --------- Will O'Connor http://willsrant.blogspot.com/ ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://www.villiersterrace.com * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V4 #518 ********************************
