I was saying, I keep on getting the same stuff from seven seas. The same discussion with no new responses, over and over. Did Ian McCulloch say something about Gangsta Rap? Is that why we keep seeing these Gangsta Rap opinions? If there is nothing new, can we just skip it? Isn't EVERGREEN a brilliant album? I think so. Just listen to it again, turned up loud. Great. Makes me feel so good. "I wanna be there when you come." I'm so jealous I didn't come up with that little simple line. That's my own obvious Echo statement for now. * New My Morning Jacket song, bad ass. * Guided By Voices, Suitcase 2 - it's out. * Robert Pollard putting out his new solo disc, a double, FROM A COMPOUND EYE. Soon. * None of you folks ever mentions British Sea Power. I'm here in Mississippi and have turned on quite a few people to them, and I've seen them play in Atlanta, GA. That band is a monster. More later. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://www.villiersterrace.com * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Nov 2005 07:50:13 -0800 (PST) From: nial bradburn Subject: seven-seas O/T Rap Music/Demos I also miss the north west. Yes, Chorlton is very cool. Especially the Barbakan Deli and the 'massage parlour' next door to the Nat West bank by Wilbraham Road . As for Rap Music, Public Enemy were the best. I saw them at the Apollo and was the only white face in the Audience. It felt weird being an ethnic minority for the evening. I Did love De La Souls vids and the 3 feet high album (26 tracks on it) which was themed on a game show. On a Bunnymen note, I have some old BBC radio recordings that I have burned onto CD. They were done for Peel sessions etc circa 1980/81 and have never been broadcast. Also, some demosfrom the Henley-on-Thames 'Evergreen' sessions of '96/97 with 'Crystal Chip' and 'Live Forever', amongst other things, on them. If anyone wants to negotiate/haggle/trade mail me in person. - --------------------------------- Yahoo! He's got a pool table in his front room & still lives like a student (at the age of 33) which I think is cool. He went around all the music festivals this year which I thought was brilliant! Last time I went up I went to two adjacent bars opposite the Nat West bank. I love funkademia, poo nan nas & deans gate locks. The things about Liverpool I miss have a lot to do with memories as a kid. The ferry for example - I took one girlfriend for a trip on the ferry & to the tate modern when she lived there for a year. I love Sefton Park and the albert pub is cool, in fact Lark lane is a little oasis in the city. I've got one great memory of coming back from Leeds Uni and having a top Bank Holiday in New Brighton & staying at a girl's house in Wallasey village. I often used to jog between West Kirkby & New Brighton & back when I was unemployed living in Chester. The beach at West Kirkby on the wirral is fantastic! All the best Jon Sweeney. Ps "Evergreen" is my favourite Bunnymen album of the modern era. I also like the tracks off the "Rust" single such as "Fish Hook Girl" ! & "Antelope" off the "Nothing ever lasts forever" single. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "nial bradburn" To: Sent: Thursday, November 03, 2005 3:50 PM Subject: seven-seas O/T Rap Music/Demos > I also miss the north west.
