After listening to Free by the Mode I'm really disappointed with the SW 'b's. An instrumental? Still a good single but I agree with those who were saying they'd like a return to form of the glorious 80s B sides. Ah well back in chilly Pittsburgh (just got back from the airport an hour ago) & off to Richmond tomorrow moring early.... Peace to all. Sheldon - --------------------------------- Yahoo! Please note I don't do this professionally so please bear with me if it's a tad dumb. SOFAD was the "grunge" Mode, Playing The Angel is the "industrial" Mode. When I heard the intro to A Pain That I'm Used To (track 1) I almost cringed thinking "please don't let this be NIN". However from there the song improved into recognizable DM. Fortunately they never get as industrial as NIN & I have to admit that the single Precious reminds me a lot of Violator. On 1st listen I immediately thought Enjoy The Silence. It definately has that feel to it & if all the folks who loved Violator for the Personal Jesus, ETS, World In My Eyes & Policy Of Truth hear this I'm sure they'll buy it. Nothing's Impossible also reminds me of Violator, tho more subtle than Precious. All in all a very good album. Especially if you like a "harder" DM sound. Sheldon. PS: still waiting for Siberia to grow on me. I agree it's definately an album that requires mutiple listenings & I just haven't had the time to listen to it more than twice thus far. As have made myself a copy with the SW single tacked on to take to Richmond with me will definately give it mutiple spins in the next 2 weeks. looloo wrote: what are you thinking about the new DM cd charles ??
