Sorry, what I meant was that I can't remember sticking on a new release only to wonder what the hell had happened to Mac's voice. Sure, the rasp on the "Zephyr" e.p. raised an eyebrow but that's it... - -- Barry Brian Andersen wrote: >Really?? Hi, I remember the line from "Antelope" it was off "Evergreen" I think or around that time. I really like to think of giving the horses their heads. "headless and all alone" - I'd like the idea of dancing horses who roam free & it's like a clear vision of "freedom" to me. I love the Bunnymen music because it plants images in my brain. I know what "breaking the back of love" feels like to me but prefer "zimbo". Obviously it means different things to different people but they are all "songs to learn & sing". I also love songs that are glimpses of people's lives & I feel that the Bunnymen often write songs like allegories which work on different levels. All the best, Jonathan P. Sweeney Ps the great things are memories associated with songs or interpretations that flood into your head. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://www.villiersterrace.com * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Oct 2005 10:40:38 -0700 (PDT) From: Andrew Ironside Subject: Re: seven-seas I've not heard of the original version of Bring on the dancing horses! Am I just imagining it, or was there an early 80's NME cover which featured some sort of horse head on the cover with Mac? - --- jswee wrote: > Hi, > > I remember the line from "Antelope" it was off > "Evergreen" I think or around > that time.
