I must admit that I can tolerate Morrison a bit more than Dylan.. Neil Young is still my fav old codger rocker though.. I have to admit to downloading the album from the mininova torrent site with the intention of buying if I liked it. Sadly, I won't be buying it, unless a few more plays changes my mind. I do think 'Scissors' is great, pure Bunny/Fixion even if the middle eight and ending sounds like The Cults Billy Duffy playing the jangly bit from The Who's Quadrophenia track ''The Punk and the Godfather''! I guess Will won't mind me suggesting the Who similarity! Steve G. p.s. and why does Mac always insist on finishing an album with a slow ballad?? ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://www.villiersterrace.com * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2005 11:59:45 -0400 From: rossnteka@aol.com Subject: Re: seven-seas Bunnymen / Ian sightings I love Neil, too. I'm in So Cal and I've seen him many times. Always fantastic. Comparing to Dylan is odd. Dylan had things happen to him that have never happened to anyone before or since. A twenty something folk-singer, turned voice of a generation, turned messiah (both very unwanted titles by the man), turned rocker, turned recluse, etc... The drugs, pressures and all the parasites lying to him, trying to get a piece of him for whatever reason when all he wanted to do was make music. I know that's basically the music business is now, but then it was never done to that extent to someone with that much talent at that time.
