Q's given the album 3/5. I'll type up the review if I can be bothered.... ....3/5 is the same score that they gave 'Scott 3' last month. I still have every issue I ever purchased. Living in Utah back in the late 70's and early 80's, Trouser Press was not only my window into the "new" music scene, but I was able to get some of the records via mail (usually from a couple of places in New York) from ads in the rag. I actually cried when it stopped publishing in 1984 (or was it '85?). Read the obit in Rolling Stone--don't get me started on their decline and fall! - -David Tired of spam? Yahoo! My favourite album of the year and gets played almost every day.. They're good live too, and it seems like they're taking off a bit now... My ticket for the Fleece gig in Bristol, has now been changed for the Academy which constitutes 2 upgrades in terms of venue capacity. Trouble is that the Academy is the worst venue in the city, and I would normally avoid the place. Unfortunately, virtually all the good bands tend to play there now, so I'm seeing less and less live music. The Alps gig has a sweetener in so much that it's now a double-header with The Subways. Originally heard them described as Nirvana-copyists which, as I'm sure you'd agree, is enough to hit the 'skip' button but they're not at all (more lazy journalism). I like them...I may even buy the album :-) ...not sure about The Subways. Had a quick listen to handful of tracks but nothing stirred the loins.
