I don't recall a poor reception in that club either. Alan Vega and Nash the Slash were the openers. Billy Idol was in the crowd to see Alan Vega and drew his share of abuse as he elbowed his way through the crowd. They got off to a bumpy start as Pete DeFrietas broke two consecutive drum heads at the beginning of the opener, but they were on fire after that. I know they played "Never Stop" and had a violinist with them...a fantastic night.
