I previewed Flowers and wished I hadn't after I'd done it. Just ruined the whole concept of buying a 'new' album! In some ways, I don't like the age of technology. I like the idea of bringing home a new album and hearing it for the first time......fresh! :-) Red ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Jul 2005 04:12:34 -0700 (PDT) From: nial bradburn Subject: seven-seas it's allright is it my imagination or is 'it's allright' a re-hash of a track from the 'porcupine' days??? DOORS 8.30PM THURSDAY 18TH AUGUST 2005 I saw it "announced" in the sunday mail, a scottish newspaper, which billed it as a siberia preview gig with a 250 capacity. I managed to get tickets late last night from ticketmaster (#17.50 + booking fee), couldn't find them anywhere else. If ticketmaster don't have any left it might be worth phoning king tuts, they do sell tickets at the bar, but not sure if they will over the phone. To me, it sounds like a shimmering, spiky blast of silver fuckin' brilliance. The chime of Will's guitars, the killing croon, the lyrics, the melodies, and that effortless "X" factor all present and accounted for. And overall, it sounds pretty rockin.' "All Because of You Days" is still reverberating gloriously through my head, and I've only heard 15 seconds of it. I'm still amazed, 20-x years in, how the Bunnymen have managed to retain their own unique, unmistakeable identity and concurrently sound so vital and contemporary, without the slightest hint of self-consciousness. I'm confident that once the full album is unveiled, it will prove to be a classic. - --Chris Adams Charles Pham wrote: after having to install the latest Real Audio player (be careful, it reset my default audio settings--damn you Real!), finally got the clips working. much respect to peter for getting the entire album previewed on the site. ran through all the tracks, sounds great. first reaction is Evergreen meets Slideling...which is very good! you can tell its produced better than Flowers. there are a couple of tracks that will probably sound amazing live. can't wait to read everyone elses reviews. - ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Echo & The Bunnymen Date: 18 Jul 2005 01:05:06 -0000 Subject: 'Siberia' Exclusive track sample's To: charlespham@gmail.com The wait is over.
