I dunno, I'll have to watch it I guess. Were the 3 episodes all the same one, repeated? Or did they actually eliminate people on all of them? Can't believe I never ran across it. But then, I don't really watch much TV. But, having said that, I have been quite amused by Jagger's ex wife's reality show 'Kept' ! Pete Townsend was a guest last week, performing a tiny gig with his g/f and Jerry Hall at Ronnie Scott's jazz club in London. (Roddy Frame just performed there recently) Anyway... that's a hilarious reality show! Must be on a zillion times a week, saw it all week long for the last several weeks while the kids were flipping channels, but I managed to miss every airing this week. Couldn't find it when I was actually looking for it. Drat! February 9th, 2002 Echo and the Bunnymen Sheffield, England; Leadmill Lips Like Sugar Rescue All That Jazz Bedbugs and Ballyhoo I'll Fly Tonight Seven Seas Darn, I wish I had a setlist for this show to help you out!! I was there, and they certainly played a lot more than that! :-( That was one of my favourite shows ever! :-) Had a good 7 Seas crowd there beforehand at the meet. The bar played the entire Flowers album while we were waiting for the show! That was pretty cool! :-) Maybe Shaz or Martyn can fill you in with more songs!? I just can't keep track any more coz I've seen too many shows and they're all starting to blur together! :-( I'd imagine the setlist was pretty similar to the other shows on that leg of the tour after looking them over. The sound was really great at that show! Love that venue. I thought that one was far better than the Manchester show everyone was raving about back then. (I think they were all just wooed by Chris Martin joining the band onstage, but I had to laugh coz he was reading the lyrics to NLF off his arm!! LOL) Brighton and Sheffield were definitely the standouts on that leg of the tour!! Brighton was wicked fun! So many 7 Seasers there!! Everyone was so drunk afterwards at the disco! LOL Good times!!! Thanks for the memories, Kristin! :-) Red ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Jul 2005 10:39:50 -0400 From: Red Subject: Re: seven-seas Kristin's setlists July 5th, 2001 Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia, United States; Theater of Living Arts Found my setlist for this show, and it says they played Villiers Terrace in between Silver and Flowers. Also....... November 19, 2001 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States; Theater of Living Arts Your list says they played Angels and Devils, but it's not on my setlist. (unless they just threw it in as an afterthought) I also have a setlist for October 7th, 1999 New York, New York, United States; Irving Plaza I THINK I was at both shows, can't remember, but I only have the setlist for Oct 7. It was actually printed as Oct 6 at the top, but I had crossed out the date and changed it to Oct 7, so they must have planned to use the same setlist both nights. It's slightly different in the encore as the one you have for Oct 6...(assuming they used this list both nights)... my list says Villiers Terrace was played before Over The Wall. And Burned was not listed, although, again, they may have added it as an afterthought on the 2nd night. But if you wanna add this to your listing, it appears on my setlist as this for Oct 7, 1999: Rescue Crocodiles Evergreen Loose Fish Hook Girl Seven Seas Dancing Horses Back of Love WAYGTDWYL Fools Like Us Killing Moon I Want To Be There Altamont The Cutter Lips ____ Nothing Lasts Forever Do It Clean ____ Villiers Terrace Over The Wall ____ Ocean Rain I've got quite a few more setlists....but they aren't dated!! :-( Red ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Jul 2005 07:46:24 -0700 From: Charles Pham Subject: Re: seven-seas No way???????? Red, the 3 shows have all been new. Think American Idol, diff episodes with a voting & cast off component. The way I view the show: pure entertainment, nothing more. I wouldn't hold INXS to having to maintain any artistic 'integrity', it's not like they're artists...they're entertainers. Their original singer left them for shit by killing himself. What would I expect them to do, find day jobs? Start an entirely new band at 40+ years old that wouldn't sell more than 10 records? Bullshit. Selling out? Fuck that, they never bought in to begin with. Are they gonna lose some "fans" from this? Probably. Should they care? Absolutely not. Its not like they're alienating any 'active' fanbase that has done anything for them post hutchence's death -- or at least i sure as hell haven't. So essentially, I don't fault INXS for being the puppet for this show. I know the songs, I know the band members, it makes for good fun to watch, and at the end of the day I'm happy the band members are gaining financially from this after having their careers basically buried with Hutchence's grave. If Mark Burnett came to me and said "let me help revive your career that is currently non-existent and get paid $", count me in. If I have food to put on the table for my family, I dont mind 'selling out'. Beats having to find a day job. On to more important issues, I think Mig should win it all. He just looks like someone that fits within the band...plus, he's austrailian. He's not the best singer, but he does good enough. :) ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V4 #259 ********************************
