That's one of the ones I've been keen on getting. I went ahead and put what I have online: http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/setlists/ I still have a lot to do -- editing, proofing, fixing the off-site links so they open in aseparate window, etc. I can't get the second page to download all the way: I don't know if this is my dial-up connection or a general problem, but I suspect I will have to restructure the whole thing and make the pages shorter. :( :( :( . So it is very much a work in progress, but since I progress like a snail these days, I decided to go ahead and post it. Perhaps we can all fill in some of the gaps. - Kristin :) Somebody please let me know if the background, etc don't look good. Because of my eye situation, I have no way of knowing what stuff I put on the web 'really' looks like. Hope you are well. Wasn't it the Wang Center and not the Opera House for the second leg of the Grey Album tour? They played Great Woods for the first leg. They also played the Wang Center on the "Dancing Horses" tour. The Opera House was the second leg of the Ocean Rain tour. They also played The Channel on the first leg of that tour. :-) Best, Anthony Schinella Program Director/News/A&E WKXL 1450 AM/Concord, NH http://www.wkxl1450.com http://politizine.blogspot.com - -----Original Message----- From: owner-seven-seas@smoe.org [mailto:owner-seven-seas@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Frank Coleman Sent: Friday, July 15, 2005 12:49 PM To: seven-seas@smoe.org Subject: Re: seven-seas Re: The Game's Still Shimmering Aura I saw the boys play "The Game" at sound check at The Paradise in Boston a few years back, but I don't think it made it into the set that night. Sounded pretty faithful to the record, as I recall... though I must confess it's never been the standout track for me that it has for others. Much better, IMHO, was the blazing version of "Satellite" they played at the Opera House on the Grey Album tour. It hadn't been released yet, and I remember thinking it was gonna be killer -- but sadly the album's production kind of muted the fire. Never heard them play it since. Now, if they only played "Tourquoise Days"... ;) best, FBC F R A N K _ C O L E M A N Designer > Developer > Drummer Interactive > Online > TV > Video > Audio > Print Founder and CEO > Intravenous TeleVision > http://www.ivtv.com Portfolio > 21st Century Art > http://www.21ca.com Member > Bentmen > http://www.bentmen.com Chairman > Web Development Sub-Committee > Advanced Media Committee > National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences > http://www.nynatas.org/newmedia/ ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Jul 2005 19:16:06 -0400 From: Frank Coleman Subject: Re: seven-seas 8th October 2004 Setlist Oh my God: http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/setlists/ THANK YOU for this *incredible* resource. I had a major flood of nostalgia reading the setlists for the Boston shows I attended in the early period (most of them). The Opera House show was amazing. They had enormous mesh netting over the stage with a million tree branches stuffed inside and pointing down at the stage -- sheer genius. I can't imagine how they transported that. The curtains parted to reveal them playing "Nocturnal Me" -- an inspired opener. Then a pause, and everyone was thinking, "what are they going to do to top THAT." Then, slowly the beatbox intro to "Over the Wall" crept in like the evening fog as I and every other person in attendance went into sheer spontaneous orgiastic bliss. The type of dedication involved with putting this together is Exhibit A for the proposition that EATB will forever be a cult band in the best possible sense -- a consummation devoutly to be wished -- i.e., they'll never go out of style.
