I checked that thread and it says now that is IS the album cover. Does anyone else recall this? Just doing a sanity check here. Friday nightbs stunning performance by Liverpoolbs finest was what rock and roll is all about. Hot and sweaty, the 600-capacity all-standing sell-out audience for this one-off warm-up gig for the weekendbs T in the Park were blown away by The Bunnymenbs energy and intimacy. Okay the sound was poor and the lighting worse but this only added to the occasion as frontman Ian McCulloch b the king of cool clad in black with trademark shades b ripped the place apart. The standard was set from the opening cords of the first number Going Up and lasted right through to their usual exit, the classic Ocean Rain. The Bunnymen have been around for more than a quarter of a century but still sounded fresh and relevant, even the oldest numbers from Crocodiles such as the drug-influenced Villiers Terrace. A rousing version of The Killing Moon was a highlight, giving guitar innovator Will Sergeant a chance to dominate. Other highs included the under-rated Lips Like Sugar and Nothing Lasts Forever, even if McCullochbs hard-rocking lifetsyle betrayed his voice at times. We forgive him.
