But age is not topic for Ian. addressed on the circumstance that people at its age, which concern themselves still with music are regarded gladly already times as kindisch, reacts it provoked. "it does not have understood people, which say in such a way which, for which it goes with the music. In the moment, where John Lennon ' Help!' became it wrote too much more than a Song. To say, music is age-dependent, is total Bloedsinn. There are also no regulations that one may be interested only at a certain age in paintings or theatres." Indeed the "new ones" of the used Bunnymen melancholy shift a due footstep in all who all this. So leichtfuessig the hare men did not come along actually. Particularly the organic key boards addressed by Ian lend to the thing a pikante note and to supplement want Sergeant's guitar runs outstanding. Because: "Flowers" is not leichtfuessig only, but also rather psychedelisch turn out. "is correct. Wants arrived with its whole effect devices and I thought ' outer ones weia, now already goes that again loosely '. But so fast and efficiently wants did not ever work - and with all that it sounds also still like live. That is already which special." With which we also directly to the success secret of echo & The Bunnymen come: "that is and was always already chemistry between me and wants", describes Ian, "me runs it always coldly the backs down, if singing with a guitar run melodisch moving in opposite directions wants mine answered." Ian is right there, only that is also the point of criticism, which is frequently brought the Bunnymen, because looking for after such moments produces now and then also Monotonie. On the other hand Ian found a probates means since Electrafixion times however. "you mean the second Refrain?", he asks - and that is meant, "a good Pop Song needs the element of surprise, a good melody and at the best still another ambiguous structure." As example for this Ian Bowie's states "golden Years". "as I with 13 heard, found I directly that that is class a Popsong. It became at that time however not conscious to me that Bowie was at that time quite burned out and did not sing at all over ' golden years ', but the whole is zynisch meant. I like Sowas." Therefore it does not happen completely also in Bunnymen texts clearly. Two examples are mentioned. "take e.g.. ' King OF Kings '. There it concerns in principle Jesus. We were in Rio and I were not particularly good drauf. There I looked at this statue on the zuckerhut and helped myself that me to away-come over my low. My theory is however that Jesus also changes, if such things happen that he is through experienced suffering more badly." And with the burned wings again guidance motive, Ikarus, is to lead back on Ian's. Somewhere gibt's on each Bunnymen disk falling types, which burn themselves the wings. A particularly strange formulation gives it in "Shine". There it means: "I am the gold in your gold mine, you let me shine." Isn't that anmassend a little? "it is easy to say to someone ' you is the gold '. But which I would like, it is that that says someone times to me -, because it happens nevertheless condemned rarely. Therefore I selected the first person here." And why is the album "Flowers" called? "I like it, if albums carry the title of a piece. At the same time are it in addition, a beautiful metaphor: Flowers flower, winter, return then. Many dead-said us already for a long time, but we wintered only and to flower now again ", to Ian think briefly and supplemental then: "with the option to die then nevertheless." Which momentarily not is really acute. First the Bunnymen with its young colleagues will go still on an expanded route, and them show the world - is pleased properly on which Ian... ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 29 Jun 2005 22:55:55 +0100 From: "Shaz" Subject: Re: seven-seas glasto tv errr...so how were The Bunnymen IYO Stu?
