I personally didn't see anyone recording anywhere up front, but usually that's the case if you 'sneak' something in. This place was tight with the no camera, no recording device rule tho, even though at least 2 people got their camera in. Did anyone mention the fact they opened the doors over an hour after they were supposed to......and then got a bit pissy because the Bunnymen didn't get off the stage on time so they could start their silly teenie bopper underage disco club thang???? I heard one of the staff telling another guy later about the band not getting off the stage until after 10:30 and I turned around and said "well maybe if you had opened the doors when you were SUPPOSED to instead of over an hour late, it wouldn't have happened!" I'm glad they didn't really enforce their stage curfew.... because I was calculating in my head between sets that first the doors opened over an hour late, then the Blue Van seemed to play much longer than most openers, didn't actually time them, but it seemed that way....and then switching gear was taking AGES...and there seemed to be something wrong coz the crew kept coming back out...and I was thinking by the time the band gets on stage they'll have 15 minutes to play! :-O I'm so glad they did their full set!!! I would have been pissed off if they chased them off after making us wait an extra hour, just to let a bunch of little brats in on time....no way!!! FFS, EIGHTY NINE PENCE.. Some of you must be curious.. If yer in the States, it's 99cents... AND you can pay by paypal.. Attached is the latest message from Boots on his list... Thanks for reading this, Stu From: "gentlemanadventurer" Subject: Dispatch from the front line. Hello you lovely people. Here's the situation. The single is STILL at 35 today which is very encouraging. We have to hold onto this position until Sunday. There are five records behind ours in the chart (obviously). A couple of them are dance records which have been out for a couple of weeks, one of them is the current Killers single and, most surprisingly of all, the new Eels single is at 40, currently 400 sales behind us. Where we are in danger of being ousted is on weekend sales and downloads. WE HAVE NOT DONE ENOUGH DOWNLOADS. So far just 89 of you have visited karmadownload.com....way short of your reach. There are nearly 800 of you registered here, if just HALF of that number download the single, not only will it stay in the forty, but it will climb again putting us within reach of top of the pops and all other attendant opportunites which arrive with a hit record. I NEED YOU TO...I AM *BEGGING* YOU TO DOWNLOAD THE SINGLE. EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE BOTH FORMATS AND HAVE DOWNLOADED ALREADY WE HAVE TO DO MORE. FOR 89p YOU CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING. Thanks for your incredible support whch has literally brought a tear or two to my eye this week. Bombard your local DJ and ask them why they are not playing this record, knowing that is already in the chart. Many thanks, Come on!
