It was near the Pilgrim and had a small "war office" in it. I really used to like the Pilgrim and remember seeing a bloke called "Matt on guitar" who was brilliant. I used to really enjoy "Cassablancas" night club. Unitl about a year ago my friend from Manchester and I would meet once a month in Liverpool & go out for the night. We stayed over in the "Antrim" Hotel which was a really good crack. I also met my wife in Liverpool when she'd come up for the weekend from London. I do miss the place & I think I might take her on the "Magical Mystery Tour" when we go up. He said it was like "Freddy & the dreamers, without Freddy". I've got it on video somewhere. He likened himself to a painter "Monet" & said creating a song set is like art. It was really good. I'm more of a Matisse man myself or Bridget Riley. I also saw the LIPA Granada TV programme, that was more recent. Anyway, Hope this clears it up a little Jon Sweeney. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Andersen" To: Sent: Friday, April 01, 2005 4:35 AM Subject: Re: seven-seas Granada Documentary > The name of the show was "Meet The Bunnymen" that was on Granada Television > > On Mar 31, 2005 8:15 PM, Red wrote: > > At 08:02 PM 3/31/05, you wrote: > > > > >who mentions this?...what doc? > > > > hehehhee okay, I'll explain.... > > > > whenever the guy who mentioned: > > > > > > There was a programme called "Echoes of the Bunnymen" (Celebration, ITV- > > > >Granada uk). > > > > Twice, I think he mentioned this now...and both times > > it made me think of the UK TV documentary that Granada TV (UK) did > > when the Bunnymen did LIPA...but I can't remember what it was called. > > > > They did a short documentary about EATB and they > > got word of the HUGE meet up at Ye Cracke pub before > > the first night's show and actually brought their cameras > > there to interview us fans!! It's brilliant!! :-) Each page has one line from the song, along with a sort of corresponding piece of Matisse! >Hope this clears it up a little Sure. I didn't think it was the same thing.... but I didn't realize it was a program about Mac alone that you were talking about! Weird that no one has ever mentioned this before!
