I've just recieved a phone call, and I'm relieved to report that my dad is in recovery from emergency surgery. He'll be in the hospital for a few days, undergoing tests, under observation, but the initial panic has passed. I shoulda posted this as OT. If anyone considers such generally private matters inappropriate for this forum, my apologies. The idea was to get as many people directing positive vibes toward my dad, even if you don't know him. Which might sound a little (or a lot) "cosmic" and weird, but I've read about studies where, apparently, such things do make a difference. (You can read more about this in a fascinating book called "The Isaiah Effect" by Greg Braden.) On a more on-topic note, Yesterday I posted a very old interview I did with Mac on my "blog," for lack of any new stuff to post (I've been busy with deadlines for FILTER magazine). It was done 2 days after the reformation gig at Cream in Liverpool--the first full interview Mac did after the band re-formed in 1997. You can check it out at www.neonhalos.blogspot.com. Again, my sincere thanks, Chris Adams Charles Pham wrote: best wishes, dude. Couldn't hurt, and (for once) I'm not fuckin' around. I'm thinking maybe a collective consciousness kinda thing might help.
