I missed the interview (I leave the house early for work in the morning). It says that their are guest vocalists on the new Ian McCulloch album. I really like Death in Vegas which has alot of vocalists on such as Liam Gallagher and Bobby Gillespie. Is it just a McCulloch solo album. One person said why is it always "killing moon" & "Nothing ever lasts forever" I think they are beautiful timeless tracks. 25th anniversary gigs should be brilliant. I think McCulloch's last solo album is his best yet (excluding Bunnymen albums). I'd love to know what literature McCulloch is into. I really like the bunnymen guitar tab site design by Brian Anderson. I try & write songs and poems myself - some really awful attempts. I really like songs about specific people or times like McCartney's All my life. I liked "playgrounds and city parks" (off McCulloch's last album). I sometimes miss Liverpool where I lived in my early twenties for three years, although I lived just across the water in Chester for five before I moved "Down south". I loved the Cassablanca night club before the dockers turned it into a bar. It was mainly "R "n" B" but really cool. I wrote a poem which is unfinnished about it. CASABLANCAS In Casablancas Ibd dance all night A darkened room a ray of light Hold a girl tightly in my arms Then Ibd wish upon a star Walking through the streets in L severn Laughing and joking with my friends Singing Sinatra and destroying the peace Until the early morning sun Cas ba b blancas Joining in the fun Sitting down stairs & listening to Bob Marley One scratched record in the bar It could last till two thirty Roaming through the streets Ibd lay down on a bench Looking up at the stars Ibd dream of flying away Maybe Rio or Santrope Casablancas webd dance all night Sometimes Ibd leave with a lady, sometimes on my own. Hope you like it if not C'est la vie. It's not my best poem but reminds me of good times in Liverpool. ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Mar 2005 13:25:29 -0500 From: Red Subject: Re: seven-seas Re: xfm At 01:37 PM 3/17/05, you wrote: One person said why is it always "killing moon" >& "Nothing ever lasts forever" I think they are beautiful timeless tracks. Yeah.......................but they do have other tracks that are just as good and heard so infrequently! Most of the regulars here would agree that they're wearing out their setlist with the same old tracks whenever they play! I guess he'll be 85 and still doing Killing Moon.... ho hum! ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Mar 2005 18:07:55 -0300 From: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Rafael_Guimar=E3es?= Subject: Re: seven-seas Re: xfm well...there's a diference in between a classic track and a "one hit wonder" kinda song... and there's no need to argue about the value of tracks like NLF and killing moon, but... if i wasnt a bunny fan i would think that the bunnymens are "one hit wonders" ... 'cause thats all that they play...and yes i cannot imagine a gig without both songs...but thats diferent because in a gig you have about 17 other songs...not 2 or 3 . . .btw it was great the velvet cover...(mostly because we didnt listened this one much....like the do it clean/roadhouse blues medley...you know what's about to come) i think thats the point of view that i share with Red Raf On Thu, 17 Mar 2005 13:25:29 -0500, Red wrote: > At 01:37 PM 3/17/05, you wrote: > > One person said why is it always "killing moon" > >& "Nothing ever lasts forever" I think they are beautiful timeless tracks. > > Yeah.......................but they do have other tracks > that are just as good and heard so infrequently! > > Most of the regulars here would agree that they're wearing > out their setlist with the same old tracks whenever they play! > > I guess he'll be 85 and still doing Killing Moon.... > > ho hum! > > > ===================================================================== > Bunnymen Online Presence: > http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info > * > http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ > * > http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ > * > http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 > * > http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com > > ====================================================================== ===================================================================== Bunnymen Online Presence: http://www.bunnymenlist.com * http://www.bunnymen.info * http://www.bunnymen.com * http://www.fotolog.net/sgtfuzz/ * http://bunnymen.nexuswebs.net/ * http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/discog/ * http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-887128-89-6 * http://www.neonhalos.blogspot.com ====================================================================== ------------------------------ End of seven-seas-digest V4 #89 *******************************
